Thankful Thursday June 25, 2026, and Our Fathers day table

For the Lord God is a sun and shield;

Happy Thursday Sweet Friends,

It's that time again!!

Hope you all are doing great .....

Been a good week here in most ways,

Still in prayer/and a bit of mourning

for some of our friends. Seems like

all our friends are going thru or have

just gone through such heavy situations

 lately, and my heart hurts for them,

but I know the Lord has them in His

hands and is taking care of them.

Pictures today are of our

Father's Day table.  These

napkins, and blue melamine

dishes were my inspiration.

Now on with my Thankfuls.............

Thankful that Father's day cards 

and  list made for things I need from

 grocery store, and hubby was so

 sweet to go to grocery store for me, 

as always.  All Fathers Day gifts

 have arrived as well.

Thankful all food is prepared and

 ready for Fathers Day dinner

 tomorrow.  Also, gifts all wrapped.

Thankful the Lord helped me put

 together what I thought was a nice

 table cause as of Sunday morning I

 had not decided on anything yet, 

 had a few ideas rattling around

 but they were far from complete, 

but all of a sudden I got an idea, so

 got out my beachy summer things

out and came up with what lil 

darling said was a cute table.

Thankful that hubby and our Son

seemed to enjoy the day. as well, as did

 lil darling and I.

Good Conversations, Good food

 and dessert, and good cards

and gifts, and some dry bar

comedy was the order of the day.

Restful and fun......

Thankful we finally got to talk with 

an attorney about probate on Susan's

 house. It will take about  3-5 months

 hopefully, we had heard somewhere

 else it could take up to a year.

 Hopefully this week we will retain

her to represent us in this process.

I tell you folks, get your affairs

in order, because she had all that,

and we have still had quite a ride.

It is a lot of work.

Thankful that the Power Co. came out

because our neighbors fence blew over

last week, so they are trying to put up

a new one, but the powerlines were to

low and close to where the workers

are, so they can not put up the fence.

Now that they are here they also cut

things away from our powerlines going

to our house, which has been a concern

of mine since we are in hurricane season,

and I was just out there last week sunning

and thinking how are we ever gonna get

this stuff done, cause hubby had already

cut some stuff on the other side of the

house, and with grapevine growing in

the mix that adds to the work time,

so I am so thankful the Lord sent us

reinforcements.

Thankful the house cleaner came today,

and she brought another girl with here

and the house is nice and clean, so very

grateful for that,  but thought they 

did some things in a unusual way from

what I had experienced before, so did

mention it to her but not sure she got

what I meant.  Anyway, we are hap

hap happy the house is clean, so that

will free us to do other things we 

need to do............

Thankful to have gotten 6 cards

ready to go in our card shop today.

Hubby will put them in soon,

Thankful my phone cover finally came

today.  (Sounds sorta stupid, I know)

but hubby bought me a new phone over

 a month ago because I dropped mine and

 it affected the sound for some reason, so

 got the phone, but wanted a protective 

case on it cause it makes it a bit larger,

 which I like and am less likely to drop it, 

so haven't been able to use it cause waiting

on the new phone case, and we have had 

quite the time trying to get that phone 

case for some crazy reason, as we have

ordered and reordered and went to another

source even.....

So we are  hap hap happy and celebrating 

it's arrival!!  lol

Note: Wow, I can hear better, there is

no intermittent voice problem and it is

easier to text on as well, and there

so far, has been nothing new to learn.

and I love my phone case,  it's so cute.

YAY for that!

Thankful that we got to have lil darling

today.  It's been awhile, since we had her

by herself, and it was quiet but fun.

  Hubby made us a nice breakfast, we

 made some energy bites, that she wasn't

crazy about,  they aren't real sweet but

taste like peanut butter, I liked them,

she did enjoy making them tho,  so that

was good!!  lol   We played a few games

of  Sorry.  The first one we called

"Nice Sorry", which means we were nice

to our opponents, and only did mean moves

if we absolutely had no other choice. We

had a lot of fun with that actually. I

said our goal should be to help others

win instead of ourselves....talked on

the phone her Aunt Dina for a short

while, took a trip down to her soon to

be new home to feed Aunt Susans cat.

Had some conversations, and looked

online for a new shower curtain for her

soon to be new bathroom, and in between

times she played on her Ipad.  It was

a good sweet  day...........We never tire

of seeing her!!  She is a lil joy giver

even tho she is a teen now.  lol

Thankful that work has begun at our

Daughters house today.  They are doing

a reno/addition.  So they removed all 

their plants and trees today that were

 in the way. So it's gonna be about

3- 5 months or more probably. Hoping

 for sooner tho.

They of course, are very excited and so

are we to see it all come together.

Thankful for a lil trip down memory 

lane today with lil darling.  I was

telling her about when our house

was flooded about 24 yrs. ago and

all that God did for us during that

time, and also how much work we

had to put into it too, but He took

care of all the expenses.  I just

prayed for new carpeting and I got

carpeting and way more, but it was

no cake walk at the time, but the

end result was wonderful.

The Lord did way more than we 

could ever think, hope or ask.

Ephesians 3:20-21 NKJV

And it reminds me of what she and 

our Son are going thru now, as they

are putting in a lot of work, but they

are gonna reap great rewards from it

that will be ongoing. Praise the Lord.
