Thankful Thursday June 11, 2026, and fun whimsical summer pictures

It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter.

Psalm 74:17 NIV

Good Morning Sweet Friends,

Hope this finds you having a great time

with your children or grandchildren

while they are out of school, and if

you have them. Been missing our girl

cause she has been traveling a lot since

she got out of school, but hopefully we

will get to see her this weekend. It

has been a good week in most ways.

Been praying a lot for 2 of my long

time friends. Such a relief that one is

finally out of the woods, but the other

is still on going, and not getting we

are not getting too much info on her,

because I am sure they are both so

exhausted. She is supposed to be having

another procedure that she just had

a week ago, so praying it goes well

 again.

            Pictures today are compliments

of Pixabay.  They are fun whimsical

Summer pictures that I think are

so cute and fun.

On with my Thankfuls......

#1

Thankful for our wild brown bunnies that we

get to enjoy. We found out some months ago

there are two of them, as they were both out

on the same day.  So we were shocked there

were 2, and we have only seen them both out

at the same time about 3 times. They look just

alike and we can not tell them apart.

Sometimes they are quite entertaining when

they are in a pensive or feisty mood, as

they will run all over the backyard and

sometimes jump straight up in the

air, and are quite animated,  so we get a

kick out of watching them. Just gotta love

 Gods creatures

#2

Thankful that our long time friend I told

you about maybe close to 2 months ago,

that had problems when they were on

vacation and has been in the hospital in

Tennessee all this time.  She finally left

for home yesterday, with tubes still in

her, but her esophagus is healed and she

is now able to take liquids and soft foods.

I tell you she has really been through it

and just wants to be home, and is still

pretty weak.  They live in Gainesville

Florida, so it is quite a drive from

Knoxville, Tenn., so they went to her

son's town to spend the night, and

will continue on the next 2 days doing

a stop over and will hopefully get home on

Sunday. Getting her home is no easy feat

either, and I am sure took a lot of courage.

Note: Praise the Lord they made it

home Sat. evening. She's not feeling

great tho, which we really didn't

expect. She has 3 Dr. appts. one

this week and she is quite tired and

weak as you could only imagine

after the ordeal she has been thru,

as well as her hubby.

#3

Thankful we have been in communication with the young lady we met last week in Home Goods a # of times.

#4

Thankful a lot more got done on Susan's house    this week, almost to the next steps, which will be stripping wall paper and painting or taking the rest of the flooring out. It's been a lot of work, and still more ahead, but actually happening quicker than we could have   imagined. Our Son is a very hard worker, and off and one everyone in the family has been able to help some too. Which is great.

#5

Thankful our Daughter and Son-in-love had a fun week with his Sister and her family at their beach house.

#6

Thankful we got some work done in our

shop today.  Added Father's Day cards.

So check us out if you are in need of

some Fathers day cards.  You can

print them, or send them by email

or phone............and best of all they

are FREE,  Yes, you heard me right!!

#7

Thankful for a new Instagram site

with great looking recipes and

gorgeous photos. It is called

"Mediterranean Cravings"

I already did one of them using a

4 cheese pizza rather than flat

bread,  it was very good.  So

can't wait to try another one.

#8

Thankful that hubby thought of

an old recipe for a jello salad

that is so easy, and delicious, but

we don't make it unless it is for

a crowd  He used to take it to

work when they had celebrations,

and their was rarely anything left,

it was such a crowd pleaser.

It's the recipe I decided to share on

Tuesday for this week. Just scroll

down past this post and you will

see it.

P.S. I just realized after I posted

the recipe that I actually could freeze

half of it, if I wanted to.

Cool whip comes frozen,  Duh....lol

It truly amazes me how some things

completely escape your thinking and

then one day it's like the light bulb

comes on............lol

This was from Me............lol

#9

Thankful that we got a lil bit more

work done at Susans house today,

and Scott got a lot more done over

the weekend.

#10

Thankful that if it is cost effective

enough we might get someone to

clean for us, so we an go help our

Son get Susan's house in order, it

is coming along well, but painting

will be next and some wall paper

stripping as well before he can get

the new floors in. We can only do

certain things, but we have been

able to help more that I thought

we would, but can't keep us going

here at home, at the same time, as

we have to have breaks as well.

Plus it might help us catch up on

so many things that got swept aside

given our last 8 months of trials.

#11

Thankful we got our porch tidied up

a bit this morning.  It's not perfect

but sure looks better.  I would love

to wash it all down but it is a lil like

spitting in the wind this time of year

because of lawn mowing and rain.

So will save that for Fall when we

actually use it more.  It's way to

hot already unless you go out there

at 6-7 a.m., which has no appeal

to either of us at this point in our

lives.........lol

#12

Thankful that I got what I thought

was a fun idea.  I had copied pictures

for my window that I use for decorating.

They were all things that I feel scream

summer to me, and I was gonna put it

over our fireplace, but then decided it

might be easier to put it in our kitchen

and turn it into our "250th Anniversary

of America" kitchen, still working on

it but liking it a lot so far. It's fun

and whimsical for the Summer.

I think anyway!!  and it's our house

and if we like it ....that works for me.

Well, that's it for Cozy Place this week.

Hap Hap Happy you came by to visit

and

Hope you have a Hap Hap Happy

weekend ahead.

Love, Hugs, and

first of June Blessings,

Nellie
