Scripture Sunday

Good Sunday Morning

Sweet Friends,

Here are the verses for today!

 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of

 eating and drinking, but of righteousness,

peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,

because anyone who serves Christ in

 this way is pleasing to God and receives

human approval.  Let us therefore

 make every effort to do what leads

 to peace and to mutual edification.

Romans 14:17-19 NIV

Have a Peaceful, and edifying week!

Hugs,

Nellie

Thankful Thursday October 8, 2020, Fall at our house 2020

 Praise be to God, who has not rejected

 my prayer or withheld his love from me!

Psalm 66:20 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope this finds you well and happy!

Been a good week here with some

moments of angst about the Covid

diagnosis for our Potus and Flotus

and others in our Government.

Happy for the way it turned out.

Pictures today are from Fall

decorating 2020.

So on with my Thankfuls.....

#1

 Very Thankful to hear

Pres. Trump and Melania are doing

really well,..... as well as all the

 other people that got it.  Haven't

 heard of any of them getting a bad

 case. Most had very light symptoms

 or were asymptomatic.  The only

one that had to go to the hospital

besides the President was Chris

Christie, but that was more of

a caution thing because he had

pre-existing asthma.

#2

Thankful we were invited to attend

a baby shower of a lovely young lady

that we have had the privilege of being

a part of her life for about 15 yrs. or so.

Her Mom did such a wonderful job

 and everything was just beautiful, and

 it was well attended, as she is so loved

by so many. I think she probably got

 almost everything she needs for the

new baby girl to come..

#3

Thankful for a nice time going out for

 Mexican food and hanging out with our

 Son later on, after the baby shower.

It was another day without masks.

Loved it!!

#4

Thankful for a lovely table decoration

her Mom sent us home with as a

thank you for helping out. Since

it looks more like Spring, I decided

 to add some white baby boo's to it

 so it would sort of  blend in with

 all my other Fall things.You can

see it below.

#5

Thankful  that we were able to find the

video of last weeks Prayer March and

watch it on Sunday.  It was so worth

watching and participating........I believe

 we are gonna see the Lord respond to

 all these prayers that have gone up and

 keep going up from this video.

Click here if you would like to see it.

or type it in yourself

https://www.tbn.org/programs/washington-prayer-march-2020-franklin-graham

#6

Thankful for a song that we have never

heard before called "Earth to God"

by  John Rich.  Great Song!

Here's a  link to it

or you can type it in yourself

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvMQ_xStg9M&feature=youtu.be

#7

Thankful once again for "Better Together",

a talk show on TBN.  They were talking

about Spiritual gifts this morning, and

one of the ladies Havilah, made the state-

ment about people who know the Lord,

that because we are God's Children

and we have his spirit living in us,

we are annointed and equipped for

whatever comes our way each day.

What a great reminder for when we

feel overwhelmed, underequipped,

afraid or unsure of ourselves.

By the way, that was my gist of

it, not a verbatim quote from her.

#8

Thankful for a dear Christian lady

 who was such a role model to me as

 a young girl and teen.  Her name is

Mrs.Thomas

and she was my next door neighbor

from the time I was 6-17 yrs. old.

I practically lived at her house and

was best friends with her daughter

who was the same age as me. She

is the #1 reason I am a Christ

follower today, as she lived such

a Godly life,  I wanted whatever

she had.....and I knew it had

to do with God, so that was

what I wanted for my life.

I just heard on Sat. that Mrs.

Thomas went home to be with

Jesus. I have never forgotton,

nor will I ever forget all the

 fond memories I have of her

nor all the things I learned

from her life.

#9

 Thankful we finally had a chance

ttalk with my friend, Janet who

 went to the DC March and to

hear all about it.

  Sounded Wonderful, and they

 didn't encounter any protesters

of any kind.

#10

Thankful for a great idea the

Lord gave me this morning for

 a project to do with lil darling.

Shopping and packing a box

for a lil girl her age for

Samaritans Purse Operation

Christmas Child.

#11

Thankful that the new season

 of "Heartland" came out.  It's

taken a while, but it's sort of

like visiting old friends since

we have watched every Season

and episode over the years.  If you

 have never watched it....it is a

 really great series. The new

Season we found on the Hall-

mark channel.

#12

Thankful that lil darling is having

 a great time playing with her Dad's

 old lego sets that we saved so he

could have them for his kids. He

 sent me a picture of something

 they built tonight.  So cute!!

Well, that's our week at

Cozy Place......

Hope you have a really lovely weekend.

Thanks for stopping in...............

Love, Hugs and October Blessings,

Nellie

Scripture Sunday

Happy Sunday Sweet Friends,

Here is the scripture for today!

 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions,
prayers, intercession and thanksgiving
be made for all people—
 for kings and all those in authority,
that we may live
peaceful and quiet
 lives in all godliness and holiness.
1 Timothy 2:12

Hope your day is a blessed.

Hugs,
Nellie

Thankful Thursday October 1st, 2020, Pictures from Fall's past..........

Let them praise the name of the LORD,

 for his name alone is exalted; his splendor

 is above the earth and the heavens.

Psalm 148:13

Welcome to October

Sweet Friends......

Can you believe it....less than 2 mos.

until Christmas......Amazing how this

year just seems to have flown by.

Been a busy and productive week

around here I am happy to say.....

I have gone back to list making

and it is amazing how that helps

me stay on track.  Otherwise,

we are just flying by the seat

of our pants....LOL

Pictures today are from Fall's past....

On with my Thankfuls..............

#1

Watched "the return" last Friday night

and all day Saturday. In case you don't know

what it is, it was also a prayer event that

was going on at the same time the Prayer

 March was happening in Washington D.C.

  It was so wonderful to see so many

 prayers going up for our nation and to be

able to agree in prayer at home. They left

 no rock un turned either, they prayed

 about everything you could think of, which

 was just so neat.................So our country and

even others were well covered.

 A very amazing event.

We thought they would show some of

 the prayer walk but never did see any-

thing about it unfortunately......and we

definitely saw nothing in the news

about either event.........Shocking!

#2

Thankful for the new supreme court

choice President Trump has selected.

She seems like a Wonderful choice.

#3

Thankful for the cute things I found

for a baby shower this coming weekend.

#4

Thankful for lunch out on Sunday

just hubby and I, to Longhorns.

Also for extra shrimp hubby got

due to a mistake on my food.

#5

Thankful for a visit from a younger

friend that we have not seen in

months (talked to tho). It was great

to see her and catch up on life

together.

#6

Thankful that I finally had time

to make some sympathy cards

I have been needing to make,

and a baby card for upcoming

baby shower.

#7

Thankful to get a gift ordered that

needed to be ordered too.

#8

Thankful hubby finally was able to go

 for an eye appt and to get glasses,

 he hasn't ever had to wear any

prescription glasses before, only

readers, but his vision has changed

a bit so hopefully this will fix the

problem,  if not it might mean

cataract surgery.

#9

Thankful it was 68 degrees this

morning so we took to the porch

again.  So lovely out!  I think

our high is 78 today which is

really nice here. (Wed)

#10

Thankful we had lil darling all

day today,  as she is out of school

cause one of the teachers got covid

so they closed school this week and

next week but next week is Fall

 break anyway, so it was a good time

 if it had to happen, then hopefully they

will be able to resume in a few weeks.

Course, no one knows for sure yet.

#11

Thankful that we were able to

have breakfast on the porch and

open our windows for a while for

some fresh air today. (Thursday)

#12

Thankful that "My Faith Votes" is

doing a Think, Pray, and Vote present-

ation with Kirk Cameron again. We went

to one in 2016 that was in theatres

all across America, and it was awesome,

everyone was praying for the country

 at the same time and we both found it to

 be very helpful. No one is telling you who

 to vote for, but they encourage you

to vote, and to vote prayerfully based

 on the issues.

 In case you are interested:

The rally is 2 weeks in a row, and

 on Friday Oct 2nd and 9th, 2020

 on Trinity Broadcasting network

 at 8 P.M.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, this has been our week
 at Cozy Place.
Thanks for dropping by
and
Hope you have a stellar rest
of the week.
Love, Hugs, and
!st of October Blessings,
Nellie
Thankful Thursday September 24, 2020, Our Fall Mantle
Now, our God, we give you thanks,
 and praise your glorious name.
1 Chronicles 29:13 NIV
Greetings Sweet Friends,
How are you?? Some of you are probably
enjoying Fall weather already, and know
you must be delighted about that.
Our early morning are a bit cooler,
so happy about that.  We are fine.....
just late again...........So gonna let the
 post speak for itself.
Has anyone found a quicker way
to add pictures with this new format.
It was even worse this time, cause it
would only let me do one picture
at a time.
Pictures today are from our Fall mantle.
This was the window and Fall wreath
I mentioned a few posts ago.
In the daytime!
So on with my Thankfuls..............
#1
Thankful that our cell phones are
once again working well  and we
were able to keep our phones with
our new cell service..Yay!!
#2
Thankful that hubby was able to
fix our ice maker.  It was making
this banging noise because it was
all iced up.  Mr. Fix it does it again!!
#3 and 4
Thankful that Fall has finally
arrived and it actually seemed like
a Fall day today.....but that will
probably change tomorrow, but
 I will take what I can get.........lol
Thankful that is was cool enough
on the first day of Fall to sit on the
porch.  What a delightful treat!!
It was only 80, but overcast and
 cloudy and breezy.
So nice after not being able to sit
 out there for more than 5 mins.
in the summer.........
Our Night time look!
#5
Thankful for a dear longtime
friend, Vicki, today is her birthday.
 She is more like a sister really, and
has always been such a great mentor
and friend.
#6
Thankful for my paternal Grand-
mother, as today would have been
her birthday as well, but she has been
 spending her birthdays with Jesus
for about 31 yrs. now.  She was a
sweetie............
 #7
Thankful that hubby found this
yummy blackberry cobbler at
Walmart, and it was made by Patti
LaBelle. It is really delicious!
Our first Fall dessert,  love it!!
#8
Thankful for a previous church
member/friend, that moved away years
 ago, and that we got reaquainted again
 thru blogging, and we reconnect every
 so often when she comes and goes
 with blogging.....and now she is back to
blogging again, which was great to hear
from her again. Much to my joy, she just
 got 5 of our free cards off our website.
I actually got to talk to her on the
 phone, which was neat, so we got to
 catch up some and now have each other
numbers so we can text or call. She was
also quite happy with the cards and said
 it made life easier for her as she didn't
have a lot of places nearby to buy cards.
So that was a blessing to hear!
#9
Thankful that I finally finished my Fall
decorating today (Wed).  Yeah!!  Now we
can just enjoy it,  so nice to have a new look.
#10
Thankful that I heard from my cousin
this week, and that his son, that I don't
really know that well, is doing fine.
He lives in Oregon and was near one
of the fires but is okay other than bad
 air quality and no electricity for
 a few days.
#11
Thankful for a fun time with lil darling
and our son having dinner, and putting
together her new toy cubicle and just
hanging out.  So nice to be out of the
 house and somewhere we don't have
 to wear a mask.  Yeah for that!!
#12
Thankful to see on Friday that our
governor has lifted more limitations
on resturants and they can go to
full capacity now, as well as other
restrictions, still have to wear masks
tho, I guess, but at least we are
moving in the right directions, and
and they will be keeping a close
watch on the covid figures.
Well, that is our week at Cozy Place.
Hope you have a good weekend and
that you are where it is cooler.........
Love, Hugs, and
end of October Blessings,
Nellie
Thankful Thursday July 23, 2026, and whimsical Summer floral displays
  The grass withers and the flowers fall,      but the word of our God endures forever.” Isaiah 40:8 NIV Happy Friday to you Sweet Friends, ...
