Good Sunday Morning to You
Sweet Friends,
Sweet Friends,
Hope you are having a lovely
and restful day.
Here is the quote for today!
“Two natures beat within my breast
The one is foul, the one is blessed
The one I love, the one I hate.
The one is foul, the one is blessed
The one I love, the one I hate.
The one I feed will dominate.
-Anonymous”
This seems more of a poem than
a quote....
but it's meaning is no less true.
That foul side that we hate, can
exhibit itself, as indifference,
selfishness, pride, discontent,
rudeness, impatience, compet-
itiveness, lack of self-control,
and worse.....
and
the side that is blessed that we
love, exhibits itself, as love, joy,
peace, patience, kindness, good-
ness, gentleness and self control.
according to
Galatians 5:14-24
Don't know about you but as
a Christ Follower.......
I choose the latter of the two,
I want to feed that nature, and
have it dominate my life and
my relationship with others,
and I find that it is best fed,
on a diet of Bible reading,
Bible Study and Prayer!
Happy Pondering!!
Hugs and Blessings,
Nellie

Since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, our "flesh is at war against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Ephesians 6:12) It is our constant reliance on the Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and direct our every thought, word, and deed to give our Awesome, Almighty, Creator, Savior, Holy Father GOD all the glory, honor, and praise for His protection, provisions, and promises for our lives. (Now, if that's not a run-on sentence, ha!) He promises to never leave us nor forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5) He also says, "I will 'provide' all your needs." (Philippians 4:19) "The LORD is faithful, He will strengthen you and protect you against the evil one." (2 Thessalonians 3:3) Now that the LORD does all these things for me, I in return need to share GOD's Love to others. We are also commanded to, "Love you enemies. Do good to them that hate you," (Luke 6:27) Our witness for the LORD shows through every aspect of our life. The more we spiritually grow in the LORD, the more we will share our witness and testimony with others.
