HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY
*
SWEET FRIENDS,
*
Hope you are wearing your green today,
so you don't get any pinches from anyone!
*
It is rather dreary looking out this morning, so guess
I need to check the weather and see if we have rain
in store or what???
*
Checked.....we are in for showers today and the temp is
69 today and 68 tomorrow, but will be up to 74 on Friday,
so that doesn't sound too bad.
*
Well, I am posting my St. Patricks Day tablescape today,
so I can participate in Susan's tablescape Thursday tomorrow,
and still be able to do my Thankful Thursday post.
Does that make sense to You???
*
I just did a very simple kitchen tablescape, since
it will just hubby and I, unless our Dee decides to come by.
*
She usually does, cause she loves what I make for St. Patty's day.
I have always made corn beef hash, cause she loves that, but about
10 yrs. ago I saw a recipe in the paper called "Irish Colcannon", it is
like corn beef hash, but they add cheese, and cooked cabbage
as well. It is delicious!
So I will be surprised if I don't hear from her.
Or I may just try to bribe her over for a visit!! lol
*
*
I set a place for Dee, just in case!!
*
*
*
*
I made these lil placecards on photoshop just
to spice up the table and add some
St. Patty's day whimsy.
*
*
and of course, some Ande's mints, gotta have
just a lil pc. of candy. Everyone loves that,
in fact, my son is usually so hungry he eats
his first! lol
*
*
Love these green glasses with a light affect
on them. Course, I love them anyway!! lol
*
*
I was just remembering where we got this green
bulb vase, it was probably almost 35 yrs ago at
Walt DisneyWorld Village.... way before we lived
in the Central Florida area, we used to come here
to vacation and I got it then as a souvenir. Our home
decor at the time, was bright green, yellow and white.
and I loved it!! So Cheery!
*
*
CAN YOU FIND THE BLOOPER!! LOL
*
*
I like to put candles in tea cups, think it looks
cute and is usually a surprise to someone else.
*
*
Thought this place for Dee might become self-
fulfilling prophecy if I posted it!! lol
*
*
This has a paint daub affect for interest of the reader!!
*
*
Like this view, it would probably be what
a toddler would see!! lol
*
*
*
This has a posterized affect,
thought it was neat, and I like that
you can see thru the glass.
*
Omni light on it.
*
*
This has a poster edges affect. I really like this
affect a lot!
*
*
This cup has an affect but I don't remember
what it is!! lol
*
*
Make sure you go over to Susan's at
Between Nap's on the Porch on Thursday
and see all the lovely tablescapes!
*
Well, I have been a busy girl all morning as I have been
downloading all these pics, I have rearranged my
family room, gotten out my spring decorations,
figured out how I am doing the table for Easter,
and did the centerpiece, washed and folded
some clothes, gotten exercise as I ran back and
forth loading pics, and finished my Irish colcannon
for din din and am about to start on Pistachio pudding,
with nuts, marshmallows and pineapple in it.
Can hardly wait for tonight!
Um Um Um!!
*
Hope you have a Wonderful St. Patrick's Day
*
Irish Blessings to you!
Nellie
And P.S. Was just checking out yesterdays
blog and many of you are praying for my
wrist, thank you so very much, cause it
is all better today!!
Oh I love the little place cards - what a sweet idea and just the perfect extra touch. I had some friends over for lunch today and I thought my table was a bit boring. Sure wish I would have thought to make it a bit more personal. Hope that you enjoy a wonderful meal together at that pretty table. Dee will surely be by:)
ReplyDeleteYes, I did receive your email - and I responded. Did you not get that?? Anyhoo - I am putting something in the mail and I so appreciate your sending me the address.
Take care, friend. Have a great St. Patrick's Day!!
Hi again Nellie,
ReplyDeleteI just love your tablescape for Saint Patrick's Day, you have been busy, just reading what you got accomplished today tires me. LOL. I think Dee might come for dinner tonight too. I really like the idea of putting a mint at each place setting.I must remember to do that.
I just love days when I get so much accomplished
Enjoy your evening and your dinner.
Hugs,
Sue
I love your green glassware. I have a couple of these that are red which I inherited from my Grandma. Don't you just love the clear stems with the colored glass? Very pretty!

Hi Nellie...
ReplyDeleteHehe...it looks like you and I were on the same wavelength for green and white tablescapes, my friend! I thought your pretty green and white table looked beautiful with that pretty floral wallpaper for a background! Beautiful place settings...love, love, LOVE those gorgeous green glasses! And...I thought it was so neat that you created personalized place cards...they were darling! Thank you for sharing your beautiful St. Pat's day table with us! Did your daughter make it over for dinner? The corned beef recipe sounded delicious!
I also wanted to thank you for coming by and taking a peek at my Spring Green tablescape and for leaving me such a sweet note...I really enjoyed it! Thank you!!!
Warmest wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design
I have always loved those green goblets! I'm so used to seeing them at Christmas with red surrounding them, I forgot how pretty they are without the red! Your table looks so organized! I had a mess at school on St. Patty's Day! The kids and I came back from special area to find all of the chairs had been turned over, math manipulatives scattered all over the floor, cabinet doors opened, drawers all pulled out!!! One of the other teachers came in saying her room had been made a mess too! It must have been the leprechauns looking for gold! The kids were so excited as we followed through with our "fairy tale" characters. They cleaned up the mess the "leprechauns" had made and found surprises had been left for them in their tubs, the "goodie box," and in my desk (who would have guessed, lol!) What fun we had. Happy St. Patrick's Day to all and to all a good day!
ReplyDeleteLove you all,
Susie
