Have a Steadfast Sunday

*
Good Sunday Morning to You All
*
Well,  I am a tired camper tonight,  cause
we have been working most of the day
cleaning our porch and all the stuff on
the porch cause you know how dusty and
dirty it gets,  but it looks wonderful now.
Just a few more touches and it will be
all back to normal and ready to enjoy!
*
I love this time of the year when we can
really use and enjoy our porch.  I love to
do my quiet times out there,  and to eat
lunch and dinner out there,  and sometimes
we even play card out there at night using
the kerosene lantern.  Just something different
to add a lil spice to life!
*
And I am all about that.......as long as it is
good clean spice!! lol
*
Well,  gotta go blow dry my hair and get
ready for beddy!
*
So I will leave you with another one of
favorite and much used verses.
It is Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)
*
You will keep in perfect peace
him whose mind is steadfast,
because he trust in you.
(another version says "him whose
mind is stayed on you")
*
Personally,  I like that version better but I was having
trouble finding it,  and am too tired to look for it,  Sorry!
*
You have a Steadfast Sunday,
*
Love, Blessings and Hugs,
Nellie

  4. DEAR LADY NELLIE,
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR VISITING MY BLOG. MY BELOVED AMY HAS BEEN IN HEAVEN 5 MONTHS...SHE WENT HOME FROM OUR HOUSE ON OCT. 23, 2009. I STILL HAVE SOME VERY HARD DAYS EVEN THOUGH I KNOW SHE WALKS WITH JESUS. I HAVE ONE SON, 27 AND HE IS MARRIED TO A SCHOOL TEACHER BUT THEY DON'T PLAN ON CHILDREN FOR A LONG, LONG TIME.
RICH WAS VERY CLOSE TO AMY AND IT HAS BEEN A BIG HOLE IN OUR HEARTS. I HAVE NOT REMOVED A THING OF HERS AND I DON'T FEEL I HAVE TOO.
I WILL TOUCH BLOGS WITH THE LADY WHOSE SON PASSED ON.
I LOVE SETTING ON THE PORCH AND WE NEED TO CLEAN OURS VERY MUCH AND GET THE WEEDS OUT OF THE YARD.
I BELIEVE YOU ARE ABSOUTELY RIGHT ABOUT PUTTING NAILS AROUND THE HYDRANGEAS. TOMORROW IS SUPPOSE TO BE 70 DEGREES WITH LITTLE WIND AND WE ARE GOING TO OUR DAUGHTERS' RESTING PLACE. I WANT TO PLANT A FEW PANSIES.
IT HAS BEEN SUCH A PLEASURE TO GET TO KNOW YOU.
    HUGS
    BLESSINGS IN THE LORD
    SIMPLY DEBBIE

  5. Good Morning Nellie,
Thank you for this Stedfast Sunday Post, I am thankful for our Sunday, as our church started a revival yesterday. Jonathan Graham Lotz, Grandson of Rev, Billie Graham, is our minister. We were so blessed.

It seems you have been a busy bee, and I am so glad that you are almost finished where you can enjoy the fruits of your labor. Our weather is so up and down that we have some of our projects on hold.
I read your Thankful Thursday post also and was so blessed, Your hydrangea is beautiful, I have tried to grow them but just haven't had any luck. Oh! well maybe again this year. lol
Thank you for your kind thoughts, but most of all your prayers.
    Blessings,
    Sue

  7. OK, so now I can say Happy Birthday, Nellie, for real! I hope you are having a wonderful day of feeling loved and appreciated by all who know you. You have been a blessing in my life and I for one am celebrating YOU today!

Thanks for asking if I am OK. The answer is YES. Just have been kind of busy after getting back from two weeks in Utah and now Jim is on vacation for two weeks so that rearranges my schedule if you know what I mean. I have to empty out my storage units within the next 30 days so have been spending time down there getting it more organized so I can give the stuff away to friends and the needy. I sure wish you and Becky lived closer!

It is official that Jim is retiring on 6/30 so I am going to wrap up my business too so we can have more time to do things without that obligation hanging overhead. I'll still consult and do things for people I know but I am just dialing it way down and getting rid of the inventory and rent to store it each month. Real estate shows no signs of improvement here in my opinion and that means basically no work you can count on anyway. So...it is time.

Love you and wishing you the happiest new year!

    Hugs, B

  9. Someday i will have a porch, and it will be awsome :D he he :)

Thanks for your comment! I am 100% sure im not pregnant now though. I have been temping/charting for two days now, and the low tempatures point to not being pregnant. Im a little sad about it. But it is probably for the better. We have had a lot of change latly, and it will be nice to have a few quiet uneventful months before we end up moving again sometime next year. :) I really have missed you lately. Don't be a stranger :D

  10. Dearest Nellie,

I miss you so very much sweetie and that is all my fault!..,Please do forgive me for being 'unforgivably' late in getting back to you! Everytime I thought of you, (which is often), I would think to myself; 'whereas dear Nellie is such a dear friend, I just want to brew myself a cup of tea, sit down and give my full undivided attention to posting my long overdue comment to dear Nellie, so I can write my comment while feeling as if we are enjoying afternoon tea together..,

A lovely thought perhaps dear Nellie, yet clearly a big, 'recipe for unintended procrastination'; mistake! I did quickly visit so many other blogs yet again, thinking I would make that special,'sit down time' to write you!.., Also mama, has been unwell and between posts I have been run,run running!~ (If you'll have me Nellie, I'll promise to not be so unintentionally, silly and so vey late in getting back to you again)!

I would never hurt abyone with intentional neglect!~ Waiting for the 'perfect moment' to do anything is a sure recipe for procrastination I now sadly, fully see!

Please do forgive me my dear lady!

I got a kick out of the fact that you and your hubby were so tickled by my 'chin wagging' comment! I first heard that comment I believe on perhaps 'Little House On The Prairie', if not, it could also have been,'Anne Of Green Gables' movie series; (some such old fashioned movie in any event), yet it is a quaint old fashioned, highly descriptive phrase that you just don't hear these days!~ I thought it was just so cute and described our delightful conversation, 'to a tee'; (or should I say rather, to a 'tea'; how long we talked when we chatted on the phone Nellie!

(If you will forgive me my dear, we can enjoy another,'chin wag' once again)!..,

Your porch sounds delightful and yes I'm all for the 'clean' version of many forms of 'variety being the spice of life' dear Nellie!

Thanks for sharing that wonderful scripture also!

If I dare ask, do please feel most welcome to pop by for a reconcilliation visit. What better time than so near Easter, to reconcile my dear.

Cheers and hugs from Wanda Lee @ The Plumed Pen
