Repost of an Easter Tablescape from the past.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life.

 The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;

John 11:25 NIV

Evening Sweet Friends,

Hope this finds you doing well, and I am

guessing you are probably getting geared

up for Easter this Sunday.  I am trying to

figure out which tablescape I am going

with yet.  I already had something in

mind then my daughter gave me a

gorgeous new tablecloth for my birthday,

so trying to decide which one to go with,

as they are both pretty.

Also because I know everyone is looking

for ideas just like me......thought I would

post an oldie but goodie tablescape for now.

So just click here to go there.

Thanks for popping in.....

Hugs and  Easter Blessings

Nellie

Scripture Sunday

Good Sunday Morning

Sweet Friends,

Here are the verses for today!

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

neither are your ways my ways,

declares the Lord.

As the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways,

and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 54:8-9 NIV

I think this explains the reason we some

times have a hard time understanding

things that happen in life.

Have a Blessed day,

Hugs,

Nellie

Thankful Thursday March 25, 2021, Pics of Hubby and Lil darlings Birthday table

But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you;

may those who long for your saving help always say,

“The LORD is great!”

Psalm 40:16 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope this has been a good week for you!

Our has been mostly good,  we have heard

some not so good news from a few friends

which was disturbing and has kept us

praying, but mostly it has been

a good week.

Pictures today are a Beachy Tablescape for
Hubby and Lil darlings birthday, which are
just 3 days apart.  They both love the
beach.  So it is natural looking for hubby
and whimsical for lil darling............

#1
Thankful for a fun time out looking for
a new sofa.  Found some hopefuls which
was encouraging, but they are not reclining
and think we are gonna really miss that
feature since we have been used to that
for almost 20 years.  So still looking!! lol

#2
Thankful that each time we go looking
we learn more information in the process
and think it is helping us to narrow down
what we really want and hopefully how
to find it.  Which would be great!
Cause this is taking way longer than
we imagined......

#3 and 4
Thankful that thoughts of my friend Arlene,
that passed away 3 weeks ago, are on my
mind daily.  It is so amazing even when you
don't live around or see someone that much,
all the remembrances you have when they
are gone.  Maybe it's because she was on
mind and in my prayers so many times
a day for the last 14 months as she battled
the cancer,I don't know, but I do know that
I walk into our guest bedroom and there
ar pictures she took, or go to my closet
and there is a blouse that I bought when
we were together, or a sweet book on
friendship she gave me for my birthday
years ago, or tea in the cabinet that she
introduced me to.....or thoughts of sweet encouraging words
that she spoke to me that come to mind.
They make me smile and weep, but
also make me so Thankful that I
had the privilege and Joy of having
such a wonderful friend as she, and
the Joy of knowing I will see here
again in heaven one day!

#5
Thankful for getting the time to play
with lil darling after school, we played
4 corners, school and she is the teacher,
we read, and we had wagon rides with
Grampy pulling us on his John Deere,
So much fun!!

#6

Thankful for dinner out at our favorite
Mexican restaurant.  They make the
 best  Chicken Taco Salads.

#7

Thankful for sweet friends who came

by for a visit, with their Daughter

and Son-in-law and new baby who

is 4 mos. old, her name is Kylie and
she is so adorable Their Daughter
lives in N.C. and is visiting.  Our
friend, her Mom, is so excited about
being a Grandmother, and of course,
is in love with Kylie. It was such a
sweet blessing to see them all, as
we have watched her Daughter
grow up as well.

#8
Thankful for chicken nachos
that I made for dinner last night.
We always enjoy them and it
seems like a dish that I seem to
always have ingredients on hand
to make. So it's a win/win!
Here's my recipe if you would
like........Click here!

#9

Thankful to hear that Kris and

her hubby from over at "Junk

Chic Cottage", have found a

Condo that they love, and it was

right where they desired to be

and if all goes well they should be

able to move from their cottage

 right into their new home/Condo.

A definite answer to prayer and

We will all be looking forward

to how they make it their own.

#10

Thankful for a sweet surprise

Easter card and lovely hand-

crafted gift for us and lil darling,

from a lovely lady at our church.

Thanks Elsie......

#11
Thankful for the beauty of all
the new leaves on all our oak
trees in our back and side yard,
so fresh and pretty and the most
beautiful shade of green the new
growth shows off!  and Thankful
that hopefully all the oak pollen
will soon all be gone, and I can
venture outside in my yard
once again.

#12
Thankful we got our Van serviced
on Tuesday.  At the dealership we
go to they have free movies while
you wait for your car to be done.
So we saw 2 good movies.  The
 first one was"The Secret", don't
know how much of it we missed,
but the part we saw was really good,
and clean as well.  The 2nd one was
"Midway", which wasn't a movie I
would have chosen to watch on my
own but hubby has wanted to see
it, and have to say, it was quite
enlightening, and probably a good
depiction of what happened  during
World War 2, in the battle of Midway
It was tense and scary especially
knowing it was a true event in our
history and especially knowing my
hubbies Dad,  and my belated
Father-in-law fought in that war
and was a tail gunner on a dauntless
die bomber during this battle at
Midway.  Thankful I came out of
there in tears thinking of what my
Father-in-law must have gone
through, and realizing what a Hero
he was and we didn't even really
understand that like we do now.  He
was on the Yorktowne Aircraft
Carrier during the Midway battle,
but the ship is now stationed in
Charleston, SC, not far from where
our daughter lives, as a military
museum, and my Husband and Son
have been on it, years ago, in fact
in the summer just before my
Father-in-laws passing!  So 3
generations of my hubbies family
have walked on the Yorktowne.
Pretty neat!
Disclaimer: The movie does have some
cursing which lends truth to the old
saying "He cusses like a sailor"  lol

Well, here's the latest run down

from Cozy Place

Thanks for your visit

and

Hope something sweet happens

for you this week,

Love and Blessings,

Nellie

Scripture Sunday

Good Sunday Morning

and

Happy Spring to you!!

Here are the verses for today!

I call on you, my God, for you will answer me;

turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.

Show me the wonders of your great love,

you who save by your right hand those

who take refuge in you from their foes.

Thankful Thursday March 18, 2021, Birthday Table for Susan (1st Spring Table 2021)

Sing to God, sing praise to his name,
extol him who rides on the clouds
his name is the LORD
and rejoice before him.
Psalm 68:4 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope you are all doing well and enjoying
decorating for Spring....

That is what is happening at our house
this week!
So did some Spring cleaning in my kitchen
and changed my accent color from
cobalt blue to spring green for a nice monochromatic look, and have pretty
much finished in the family room, and the
dining room, so now I am on to the living
room, and then clean up. Love how our
mantle came out, and will show you
in the coming weeks.

Pictures today are from my Sister-in-law
Susan's Birthday Table.  Guess this would
also by my first Spring Table for 2021.

"Every things coming up Roses"  lol

So on with my Thankfuls.....

#1 and 2
Thankful that Lil darling and I did
do the Easter tree together again
this year.  So my first Easter
decoration is up.  Also thankful
we got all our Winter decor
 packed away till next year.

#3 and 4
Thankful for a fun night out,
we tried to go to several
furniture stores, but they
were both closed. We have
been in search of a new sofa
for awhile now. I am just not
having any luck finding what I
want, which I am not totally
sure abut what it is I want,
but I will know it when I see
it.......lol  We just wound up
going to dollar tree and out
 to eat at Perkins.
Also thankful we found some
cute things for lil darlings
Easter Basket, which makes
me ahead on things, which
makes me happy.

#5

Thankful for all the Spring

decorating that I have already

accomplished as we are

enjoying it already.

#6

Thankful for a lovely day

at church and a nice lunch

out with our friends to

Cracker Barrel, and the

sweet surprise of them

treating us to lunch for

hubbies birthday.

#7

Thankful to see our younger

single parent friend and all

her children back at church

on Sunday.  It's been almost

a year since we have seen

them, but have talked to her

a number of times.

#8

Thankful for less and less

mask wearing and more

hugging at church. Seems

we are getting closer to

being back to normal

Hallelujah!

#9

Thankful that my Friend

with the broken legs is

doing fairly well, she is still

having quite a bit of pain

but think it is good she is

only doing rehab 2 days a

week now.  Hopefully that

will help lessen her pain,

I hope.

#10

Thankful that her neighbors

and church parishioners are

being so good to them. One

is doing their grocery shopping

for them, others have brought

dinners, and their son's all live

away, but one came to help

get her settled in when she

came home form the hospital,

and another one is coming

to visit soon and to help out.

#11

Thankful for our Governor

Ron DeSantis and his handling

of the covid situation in our

beloved Florida. Also Thankful

for Gov. Gregg Abbott of

Texas and for his directions

In this situation as well.

#12

Thankful that the Lord

spared me from what could

have been a nasty accident

in the kitchen. I was cleaning

and took a plate off the wall

to clean it, and the wire hanger

just flew apart and went

everywhere and gave me

quite a scare but thankfully

did not hit me!

#13

Thankful for our air purifier

which I have pressed into service

all day every day for almost

the last week.  I had an earache

caused by the Oak pollen which

I am allergic too, and also have

not been going outside much

at all cause the pollen count is

very high and painful for me!!  lol

If you have allergies I can not

recommend more highly an air

purifier, but it needs to be one with

a hepa filter.  Ours has a hepa and

a charcoal filter, and it works like

a charm and my earache vanished

pretty quickly once I started using

it again.  When I was in my 30's

I used to live with headaches every

day, (due to allergies)and this lil jewel

made my life so much more bearable

and medication free, and a side

bonus is it helps keep the dust

down too.

Well, that's all for Cozy Place

this week...........

Thanks for coming by

Hope you have a great rest

of the week and keep

your candle shining brightly.

Love, Hugs and

Mid March Blessings,

Nellie
