Thankful Thursday April 14, 2022, More Spring/Easter decorating

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living
 hope through the resurrection of
 Jesus Christ from the dead,
1Peter 1:3 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope this finds you joyfully anticipating
Easter Sunday. My major focus today is
making a grocery list for Easter Dinner
and grocery shopping, and also picking up
some goodies for lil darlings Easter gift.

Pictures today are more Spring/Easter
Decorating from our house this year.
And
Just so you know... I do know that Easter
is really all about Jesus and His dying
on the cross and Resurrecting on the
3rd day and that He lives still today!
And we love to celebrate that
He is Risen.........

But.....the little girl in me, just loves Bunnies and Easter eggs,  think I might be making up for some things I didn't get to experience as a child.

So don't judge me!!!  lol

So on with my Thankfuls.....

#1 and 2

Thankful for a good day seeing and schooling with lil darling and Thankful that my step neices (3 of them) who are older than Brooklyn finally were able to come over for a visit in the afternoon.  We have missed them, and Brooklyn gets to see one of them at school, but hadn't seen the other girls for a long time (us either).  Anyway, it was great to see them and hopefully next time maybe it will be with their parents too.  Brooklyn was beyond thrilled!!

#3

Thankful to finish up some more cards and get some work done that needed to be done, for the business as well.

#4

Thankful hubby was able to do a tune up on our lawn mower and sharpen the blades and all,  so she is all ready to go, just in time to mow again.

#5

Thankful for a nice walk around the neighborhood and an opportunity to meet part of the new family that is moving a few doors down. We met the hubby and son. They are a young family and they were very nice.  He even invited us to see their new home, and it is beautiful.

#6

Thankful that we were finally able to connect with our Son-in-loves Mom and Dad.  We met them after church for lunch. at Longhorn's in another city, and had a nice time.....time went by too quick actually, but I am sure we will do it again!

#7

Thankful that after a 4-5 yr. search we finally found a white dresser for our bedroom. at a super great price. After we left his parents we decided to just drive around a lil and see if we saw any different furniture stores, than they have in the Orlando area, cause we have talked about going there to look,  We actually found the furniture store where we bought a lot of the furniture we still have, about 20 yrs. ago, and they were open, so we decided to go in...........We felt like Chevy Chase when he saw the perfect Christmas tree in the movie "Christmas Vacation".  We were ecstatic......and we were able to put it in the back of our van and bring that baby home. It makes our bedroom look so much brighter, and we are loving that!!

#8

Thankful that we got everything changed over from our old dresser to our new dresser, and it made us have to purge some things that needed to be purged.  Which is always good.

Here she is.....still have to find a mirror for her

#9

Thankful that we got an extra day (Monday) with lil darling this week as she is out of school for Spring break.  Always love any time we get with her.

#10

Thankful that we got an answer to something that happened to one of our plants.  It was a small tree and I had cut it back about a month ago, and it was growing back well, and had a lil tuft of leaves on the top about maybe 4-5".  Last week I walked out on the porch and that whole tuft of leaves was completely gone and we are used to critters eaten things since we are sort of nestled in the woods, but they don't usually mess with thing near the house other than racoons getting after the drip pan on the grill.  So we figured it must have been a racoon that pilfered it. Last night hubby went out to grill some burgers, and when he opened the grill, he found something was building a nest, and here was our tuft of leaves mixed in with other stuff.  Had to be birds or squirrels cause I don't even know how a bird could get in cause the opening is so small, but she even moved the drip pan over some. Critters are pretty smart I have to say. We love stuff like this... and get a good chuckle or two out of it, and it was nice to know what in the world happened to our plant.  At least it let's the racoon off the hook.  What can I say we are easily entertained.  lol

#11

Thankful that hubby is about to put a new upgrade on my card making package which should make things run better hopefully. We are praying it doesn't cause us any problems, as sometimes new updates can.

#12

Thankful I finally got a few minutes to sit down and read some of Pioneer Womans New magazine, and I am not quite halfway through it,  but am really liking and enjoying it so far.  I say New....because it's new to me, not sure how long it's been out, but mine is the spring Addition.

  2. Hi Susan,
Thanks for coming by......yea, Jerry's parents moved back about a year ago I would say.
They now have a new Grandson, that they take care of on Thursday, like we do with Brooklyn.
Yea, it does seem like we could be called pioneering women too. lol
This pioneer woman actually lives on a ranch and is mother to 5 or 6 kids, and her hubby is a rancher with cows, she has cooked and taken care of all of them for years, now she has pretty much worked herself out of that as a full time job and is having new adventures.

Have a great rest of the week,
    Love, Nellie
