Thankful Thursday February 8, 2024, pictures today are just for a fun Valentines Treat

Greetings Sweet Friends,

How are ya?? Hope you are having a good week.

Mine has been good, hubbies not so good, as he came

down with something last Wed. night. However,

he is feeling much better since Monday.

Pictures today are just for a fun Valentine Treat.

I love everything about Valentine's day, and since

I decided not to decorate for it this year thought

I could do this instead!!

Now....on with my Thankfuls

Thankful my Son got home safe and sound from his trip

to Arizona.

Thankful for a couple of long conversations with my Daughter

the last few days, cause between the busyness of both of us

had been awhile. Always wonderful to catch up.

Thankful for Pixabay and Unsplash and all the beautiful

pictures they have.....looking thru them just makes my heart sing

for some reason. I guess cause I just love beauty of any kind!!

Thankful for a blog that some of you might know about but

if you don't you should definitely check out. It is called the

"Crowned Goat" written by a gal named Coco. She seems

like a real sweetheart and I love her writing style and

everything about her blog and think you will too.

Thankful for a miraculous story I read about in the Epoch

Times,about a young Mom who had 3 children and was in a

terrible accident and was in a coma for 5 years, and woke up

laughing at a joke her Mom told. Her children are now

21, 18, and 11 years of age.

Her Mom was there for her every day and always believed

she would wake up. She is sad for all the lost time with her

children, but trying not to dwell on that, as it will keep her

from moving forward, as she had to have a lot of therapy,

to regain what she lost during those 5 years.

Praying that the Lord will repay

her for the days that the locust have stolen. (Joel 2:25)

Love hearing true stories like this.........

Thankful for things that we can take that are immune

boosters like Vitamin C, D, and B Complex,

and Elderberry Gummies. Especially when we

know we are exposed to sickness, a few weeks ago,

I was starting to get sick but had an appoint-

ment to have a crown done, and they were sort

of squeezing me in, so did not want to miss it,

and I took all that along with gargling with

Listerine, and also asked a few friends to pay

and it the Lord answered Hoping the Lord

sees fit to answer again cause hubby is now

sick with a bad cold.

Note: We were all praying again this week and did

the same stuff and so far I have been fine, and was

able to go to the dentist again to finish up. Shew!

Very Thankful and happy I stayed well

and was able to go.

Thankful for Ham, cheese, broccoli and onion quiche.

Haven't made it in a long while and it was very enjoyable.

Glad that we had leftover chopped broccoli, as that was

my impetus to make it. lol

Thankful I got my permanent crown today.

So that is finally off my plate. Who hoo!!

but will need to go for x-rays and an official

checkup in March.

Thankful for some grocery shopping at Wally World

and din din at Longhorn steakhouse. We had the most

delightful young lady as our server. She was adorable.

Thankful for a good day with lil darling, she got all her

school work done even tho she was a lil tired from their trip.

Which she really enjoyed. We even had time to work

on our story we are writing, just for the fun of it,

"The Kingdom of Cookie dough"!

She could grow up to be a writer, you never know!!

Thankful for a nice long chat with

Sweet Daughter who lives in S. Carolina.

Always Fun! Also, thankful for a new

blessing they received this week.

Thankful that I was finally able to find some new

fitted sheets to match our bed linens, as one of the fitted

sheets just ripped all of a sudden when I washed it,

and we really haven't had them all that long, so that

was a surprise. Anyway.....the new ones are ordered

and hoping they work out well. Not easy to find

many sheets that are not in a set. We have a queen

adjustable bed so we have to have twin sheets for each

side. The top sheets and pillow cases are still in

great condition, not quite sure what happened to

the bottom ones. lol

Thankful Thursday, February 1, 2024, and More Winter Decorating

Welcome to February and

Thankful Thursday, Sweet Friends,

Wow, we are already in February,

how the time does fly.......

Hope you have had a good week

and are weathering the Winter well.

Our week was good and pretty

much revolved around lil darling

most of the week, which was a

fun change. So need to get busy

this week. cause we pretty much

put everything on the back burner

when we do have her with us, so

we can just enjoy her!

On with my Thankfuls.

Thankful that our Son was able to come and help hubby take a heavy recliner chair to someone who we thought could benefit from having it.

Thankful that our kids introduced us to "Caesar Salad kits". You can find them in the lettuce section of the grocery store. I am typically not fond of Caesar salads, but the dressing on this one is mild and different than most dressings. So we really have enjoyed them, and I can whip a salad together in about 5 mins. Which I really love. I put all the ingredients in a Plastic container with a lid on it, and then shake it all up and it perfectly coats the salad with dressing. Learned that from our kids too...........lol and best of all everyone likes it.

Thankful that we can learn neat things from our kids too. We are always learning things from them. Love that!!

Thankful we did a spring cleaning type vacuuming of our living room, and got the room back in order and came up with a replacements to put in the area where the recliner was before. Looks much better for now,

Thankful for a very good but different day at church. We were asked to serve in children's church and this was our first week. Been a long time since we have done that!! But it's only one Sunday every other Month, which is perfect.

Thankful that lil darling got to go with us, to childrens church, and she had a good time. She saw a friend she already knows and met a new friend. Can't beat that!!

Thankful we got to have a sleepover with her on Sunday night. It has been awhile............

Thankful that our son made it safely to Arizona today for a work trip.

Thankful that pants we bought for lil

darling fit. She is in that in between

size going from childrens sizes to

adult sizes. Had to send some back

last week, and order others, but we

finally got it right.

Thankful for an important decision

we have made about our card shop,

which we are very excited about.

Thankful that the Lord helped us find a book that lil darling is reading for literature class online, so we could read it, as she accidentally forgot hers at school, and wouldn't be going back till next Tuesday. She was very upset about it too.

Thankful for a good day with lil darling, we had lots of work to do, cause we were trying to get 2 days of work done in one, as they are taking a 4 day trip. She did awesome and got it all done.

Thankful Thursday, January 25, 2024, Changes from Christmas to Winter at Cozy Place

It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter.

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Wow, this is my last Thankful Thursday post for January.......Wow, this month flew by at rapid pace. Been a good week here, hope it has been the same for you! We have warmed up a lil too much for me, but it could be worse!! lol

Pictures today are changes from Christmas to Winter at Cozy Place .Decided to go with a green, blue, gold, silver and white theme, with a lil bling here and there.

So...on with my Thankfuls

Thankful that I know how to read,

and what a wonderful thing it is.

such a great tool in our life toolbox.

Especially happy I can read God's

word and know how to live my life.

Thankful for all the cold weather

we have been having, such a wonderful

change from all the hot hot days

we have here in Florida.

Thankful for another great day

at church. Sermon was very

encouraging and was from our

young media pastor, and how our

church is using social media to point

others to Jesus, and how we can

do that too. We are already

doing that to some degree.

Thankful that all the Christmas

things are almost all packed away,

and that everything is now decorated

for Winter. Love it.....So we are

good until Spring............

Thankful for a great day with lil darling,

got all her school work done, and even had

some time to watch the kids baking challenge

#6 and 7

Thankful for God's mercy and love to that elderly couple I wrote about last week, that were in hospice care and holding hands thru the rails of the hospital bed. They both passed into glory this week., only 10 hrs .apart.....she went home at 2:30 a.m. in the morning and her hubby around noon the same day. They were married 72 years, and that was their prayer that they would go together, and God in His mercy and love answered their prayers.I have heard stories like that, but have never actually know of one personally. So very thankful to have known them, and to know of their beautiful love story.

Such a testimony of Gods grace!

Thankful for an orange cranberry

cake we got at our publix grocery

store. It is really a great cake.

Very rich, so you only need a small

slice. Buy um um goodness!!

thankful my crown prep is all done

and will get my new crown in 2 weeks.

Thankful that I had no angst about

getting the dental work done, because

my former dentist that I came back

to takes such good care of me, and

makes sure I am always comfortable

and have no pain. they are the best!

Thankful for a cute movie we watched

last night called "A Dog's Purpose",

It was all from a dog perspective

and was very cute and funny, with

a few sad spots, but worth it.

they also have a sequel we will watch

as some point, called "a Dogs Journey".

Thankful for a good day with lil

darling doing school work again,

and we all had a nice dinner

together, as well.
