Happy Sunday Sweet Friends,
Hope this finds you well today....
body, mind and spirit!
My daughter saw this quote this
week and shared it with Me, and
I think it's really a great quote,
and so very true as well.
week and shared it with Me, and
I think it's really a great quote,

"Ocassionally,
weep deeply over the
life you hoped would be.....
Grieve the losses,
then wash your face,
Trust God,
and
Embrace the life you have."
By John Piper
I might add that accepting is
necessary as well, but is not
the same thing as embracing.
Thought this was a really great
quote as we all have things in
life that don't go as we thought
they would......
So...........
Just some food for thought!!
Have a lovely Sunday,
Love and Blessings,
Nellie

Hi, Nellie,
ReplyDeleteI have learned in the LORD, from family (you and Jim), and friends that the LORD heals
our disappointments and losses when we ask forgiveness as well as forgiving others, then
never go back to the past. Keep moving forward. Our today and all our tommorrows have enough
to concern our hearts. As the apostle Paul shared about, to keep pressing forward to reach the
mark for which Christ has placed before us. I'm not quoting that exactly, but I couldn't find it! Love you, Susan
Hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling a bit better this afternoon, and hopefully tomorrow you will feel good
again.
Yes, the Lord definitely heals our hearts and our hurts if we give him all the pieces,
but I have found that sometimes if wounds are really deep, they don't go away quite that
easily, sometimes it is a process, and sometimes it is necessary for it to be grieved a number of times before the wound is healed completely, but we are as you say to be pressing on with our walk with Christ, but sometimes that pressing on can be part of a healing process as well..............but sometimes there is nothing more healing that a good cry...
and knowing that God bottles up our tears in heaven..........which says how very much He
cares about our hurts.
Keep Looking up,
Love ya, Nellie
