Scripture Sunday, The 3rd week of Advent

Emotions, Background, Advent, Candles

Merry Christmas Season
Sweet Friends,

Here is the scriptures for the 3rd
week of Advent.

"In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel
was sent by God to a town in Galilee
called Nazareth, to a virgin engaged
to a man named Joseph, of the house
of David. The virgin's name was Mary.
And the angel came to her and said,
‘Rejoice, favored woman! The Lord is with you.'
But she was deeply troubled by this
statement, wondering what kind of greeting
this could be. Then the angel told her:
‘Do not be afraid, Mary,  for you have
found favor with God. Now listen:
You will conceive and give birth to a son,
and you will call His name Jesus.
He will be great and will be called the
Son of the Most High, and the Lord God
will give Him the throne of His father David.
He will reign over the house of Jacob forever,
and His kingdom will have no end.'"

 Luke 1:26-33

Thankful Thursday December 12,. 2019, and Christmas in the kitchen 2019

But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
 Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may
rejoice in you.
Psalm 5:11

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope this finds you really enjoying
the beauty of the Christmas Season.

We are............it is definitely one
of our favorite times of the year.

Pics today are our Christmas
decorations for 2019.

Well, I am very late so I am just
gonna get on with my Thankfuls.

#1
Thankful for a fun night out Christmas
Shopping and having soup and an
 appetizer at Olive Garden.  Shopping
and dinner was perfect on this cool
refreshing night.....

#2
Thankful our contractor came again on
Saturday.....all the soffiting is in now,
and they did more work on the doors,
they are working fine but still need
a few small things, they also took
everything out of the shed, wood and
tools etc., so we can at least put things
in it now.  Then it still has to have the
final painting.  So we are almost there.
Also have to put a rubber piece at the
bottom of the door, so no snakes, rats
or mice can get it.

#3
Thankful that our friend who has heart
problems and had been having a lot of
angina attacks for awhile was able to
go for a 2nd opinion at Shands hospital
and the Dr. said the problem was the
way he was taking his medication that
they gave him.  His Dr. had him taking
a nitrate twice a day, and he was only
suppose to be taking it once a day.
He was a bit skeptical that it could be
that simple......but he did it and he has
not had any more angina attacks even
when he walked the dog.  PTL for
such a simple fix.........

#4

Thankful for 2 sweet totally unexpected
Christmas gifts from 2 totally unexpected
people at our church.  One was cookies
given to my hubby and one was homemade
candy in a pretty Christmas mug given to
me along with a special something for lil
 darling. How thoughtful.....it was just
a lovely surprise. She got to open hers
today and it was an adorable Santa
 door hanger.

#5
Thankful that we were able to put
some things in our shed finally.
Not putting too much yet tho, as they
still have to put weatherstripping at
the bottom of the door to seal it.
But hubby was thrilled....and just
the lil we did put in there already
gave us more room in the garage.

#6
Thankful for all the Blog Christmas
home tours....they are so much fun
and inspiration every season of the
year.  Have to say I am having a
time getting my mojo on this year,
Think it's the blue funk that my
daughter and I always go thru for
a few days after we have to leave
each other........... but hope it goes
away soon, since it is already
the 9th!!

#7, 8, and 9
Thankful we get to see lil darling
on Tuesday this week, and again
on Thursday for her Christmas
program for school. Miss that lil
sweetie, and she is gonna be out
of school after Thursday, so hope-
fully we will get to see her more.

Thankful for a fun time making
some Christmas gifts with her
for her Mommy and Daddy,
and other Grandmother.  She
did a great job.

Thankful we will have more
time to spend with her while
she is out for the Christmas
holidays.....

#10
Thankful I finally go my MoJo
back and am almost finished with
my decorating just have to finish
the dining room and the tree
 now.  Getting closer!!  Yay!!

#11
Thankful to have run into our old
youth Pastor and his wife, while we
were out.  He was a youth Pastor
when my kids were in High School
and early college. It was great to see
them and have a catch up a lil bit.

#12
Thankful to finally be done with
my Christmas decorating, now to
just enjoy it for the rest of the
season........whoo hoo!

Well, that's it for cozy Place
this week.

So glad you could stop by,
hope you enjoy these lil
smiling faces as much as
I do.....

Have a great weekend!

Love, Hugs and
Christmas Time Blessings,

Nellie

Scripture Sunday - 2nd Week of Advent

Advent Wreath

Good Sunday Morning
Sweet Friends,

Here are the scriptures for the
2nd week of Advent.

 A voice of one calling:
 “In the wilderness

 prepare the way for the LORD ;

make straight in the desert a highway

 for our God.
Every valley shall be
 raised

up, every mountain and hill made low;

the rough ground shall become level,

the rugged places a plain.

And the glory of the LORD will be revealed,

and all people will see it together.

For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

Isaiah 40:3-5 NIV

Have a Blessed Christmas Season,

Hugs,

Thankful Thursday December 5, 2019 and ,Photoshopped pics from Thanksgiving Table

Come, let us bow down in worship,
 let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;
for he is our God and we are the people
of his pasture, the flock under his care.
Psalm 95:6-7 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

and enjoying this Most Wonderful
time of the year!

We are still working on decorating

will probably go out shopping
tonight after she goes home with
Mommy............so looking for-
ward to the day.  Hope you are
looking forward to your day

Thankful again for a truly Wonderful
Thanksgiving with the family.....
Always wonderful when you have
everyone together at the same time.

#2
Thankful for all the Thanksgiving
leftovers, that have made it easy
peasy for eating....as we are focused
on taking Fall things down and bring-
ing out the Christmas decorations.

#3
Thankful to have all the Fall things
down and packed away for another
year.

#4

Thankful my daughter, son-in-
love and Bentley made it home
safe and sound on Sunday and

with her hubbies family on
Friday and Saturday.

#7
Thankful for the guest speaker
we had at church again as our
Pastor is still away.  The man's
name is Marquis Laughlin and
he does a dramatic presentation
of the Christmas story all the
 way to the Easter story....
All from scripture right out of
the bible.  It was phenomenal
and such a blessing to hear.
What a memory this man has
and what a way he has with
presenting it all.  Amazing
and Powerful, he just makes
the word of God come alive.

Just in case you might be
interested.....here is a link

If you click on performances on
the top bar.....you can see some!

#8
Thankful hubby got all our
Outside Christmas decorations
finished, and I got some inside
things done.....lots more to go!

Soft Omni affect

#9
Thankful for the men who pick
up our refuse weekly.  What a
wonderful service that is to every
one....imagine if you had to haul
your own refuse away every week,
or if there was no place to haul it
off to....like when they have those
strikes in cities where it just piles
up everywhere.  Yikes!

 #10
Thankful for being able to use our
fireplace for the first time this year.
That is very early for us here in
Florida.  Course today it is gonna
be 70 degrees and up for days
after...
That's Florida living!!  lol

Photocopy affect

#11
Thankful for answers to pray for
a friend of ours Mother.  She is 82 yrs.
old and got pneumonia and has been
on a respirator for a couple of weeks,
but is now off the respirator and is
breathing with a mask, still sick, but
 is improving more daily.
update: By this afternoon she is now
breathing on her own and doing
even better.  PTL

#12
Thankful for a quote we heard
yesterday on the "Better Together"
program.  I don't remember the
name of the man who said it,
because I have never heard of
him or the quote before, but think
 the quote is true.....
One of the ladies on the program
told it.  The quote was:

God always answers our prayers,
but he answer them with the
knowledge that HE has, not the
knowledge we have!

Isn't that good!!

Hubby told me I left part of it
out, but this is the gist of it,
and I actually like this quote
better.  lol

Have a Fabulous Friday and
Weekend.

Thanksgiving Table 2019

Morning Sweet Friends,

How are things at your house??  I would
imagine you are probably doing the same
thing we are....decorating for Christmas!!
Am I right??

Have all the Fall things down and tucked
away,  and hubby has done the outside
already.  The first thing I do is put up my
nativity set, so that is done and then I did
the mantle.....the tree is in progress but has
a ways to go.  I am sorta stuck right now
trying to figure out what to do next.....

Do you get stuck like that???

Thought while I am trying to figure out
it might be good to get my mind off of
it and do a blog post, then maybe my
brain might be clearer when I go back
to it...........hoping so anyway!!  lol

So since I had pictures of our Thanks-
giving table thought I would show you
those before we get to far into the
Christmas season.  So here goes.....

It started with using this lovely tablecloth
my daughter gave me a few years back.
I am in love with it really, I think it is so
beautiful and versatile as well.  I also
wanted to use the pitcher with the berries
on it, cause loved the look of it too!

Here's a picture where I was trying it out
a few weeks before Thanksgiving to see
how it would look. I just started pulling
pumpkins, candles and berries from
different areas where I had used them,
in my Fall decorating, then just started
layering them in and moving them
where they were most eye pleasing.
It was an easy and fun and 0 dollar
 centerpiece to do....

My white plates looks the best with
this tablecloth, so used them and
decided to use my Fall napkins that
have 4 different colors, green, gold,
brown and rust, as they pull out
many of the colors in the table-
cloth and are complimentary as
well.

Always like to put a candy of
some kind at each place.

Each end of the vignette

Place settings with place cards
that I made some years back.

Just rolled on end of the napkin
and set it on the rolled area.

These shots are of the opposite side
of the vignette..............

Thanks for visiting with me today.

Hope you have a great time decorating
and enjoying the Christmas Season.

Love and Hugs and
Blessings,

Nellie

Scripture Sunday - beginning of Advent

Advent Candles

Welcome to December
Sweet Friends, and to the
 beginning of Advent Season.

Here are the scriptures for today!

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of deep darkness
 a light has dawned.

Isaiah 9:2 NIV

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Of the greatness of his government and peace

there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne

and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding

it with justice and righteousness from that time on

and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty

will accomplish this.

Isaiah 9:6-7 NIV

Wishing you all... a lovely and
meaningful Christmas Season!
