Morning Sweet Friends,

I am up early this morning cause we have gone to

 bed really early the last few nights, a real record

for us!  lol .  So have been up since 5 cause my

 back want let me sleep any longer............lol

Been thinking about you and wondering

 how you are all coming along with your

 Christmas preparations??  and If you

are enjoying the Christmas Season,

sure hope you are!!

Myself.........I did nothing towards our Christmas

 preparations this weekend, other than early on Friday, 

 but never got as far as I was hoping,  but oh well, 

however did get to watch our lil darling which was

 way more fun anyway!!  

Friday night hubby and I made rolo pretzels candies

(if anyone would like the recipe to the easiest and

tastiest lil goodies imaginable,  let me know and

I will post it) and I also made brownies to take to

 a Christmas get together for Sat.Afternoon, so 

that was fun,  then we watched Christmas vacation.

  My hubby just loves that movie........ and it really 

 is a riot!!   We have always had the made for TV 

version,  but our video is all messed up now,  and 

we have been trying to find a made for TV version, 

 but they just don't exist it seems anymore............ 

Think the cable stations have bought the rights to

 them or something.  So hubby ran to Walmart on

 Friday at lunch to pick up something and saw the

 movie there and bought it, so now we use the TV

 guardian with it, and it takes out any bad language.

So that is nice.......but it sort of takes out the whole

sentence when it does, course, we pretty much

know it by heart by now..............lol

  I think he likes it so much because of the nostalgia,

 cause it used to be a family tradition for us to all

 watch it together  every year.  I love that he is

 nostalgic like that!  It is a good thing!!

 I saw a T-shirt at Wally world the other night,

 that said "The Griswold family Tree" and it 

 has what looks like it has a cross-stiched car

 with a tree on top, on the front of the T-shirt,

so just had to get that for him.  Thought it was

so cute..................

Saturday we went to the Christmas gathering

which was in another close by town,  and an

area of the town we had never been in before

so that was fun.  Then we went out to dinner

at roadhouse grill,  then came home and went

 to bed at 9:30..........that just never happens

here.............think all these late nights we have

had here recently watching Christmas movies

has finally caught up with us!!  lol

Sunday was church of course,  and we had

our Christmas contata in the morning Services

this year,  and oh...........what a lovely contata

it was.  Simply beautiful,  like a little foretaste

of Heaven on Earth.  Sooo.........adds to our

Christmas Celebrations!

Then we got yomii and went to Target to try

and find a new tree topper cause our old one

is too tall...............plus our tree rotates,  so we

thought if we could pin something to the ceiling 

over the tree,  that looks like it touches the tree

 but really doesn't that would work.  Think what

we got might still be too heavy........

Then last night Megan and Scott had invited

us to go to a restaurant they have told us about

but we have never been to yet,  so we went, and

 it was really delish.  It is called "The Garlic",

and it is in New Smyrna Beach,  so it was a lil

bit of a drive,  about 30-40 mins.  Brooklyn went

with us,  and she was so good, and practically

everybody that sees her has to stop and talk to

her and say how cute she is.  Megan puts head

bands on her and they make her look even more

adorable.  So we had a fun evening,  but since

 we didn't get a nap we were whipped again, 

 so hit the bed by 10:00.

Is this a sign we are getting old????  lol

Today,  gotta get that dining room table cleared 

off, so we can mess it up again with wrapping

 paper and bows............lol

Good Morning Sweet Folks,

How are you this fine morning?

Hope all is well with you and yours.

We are doing well..........got a bit

more of a handle on things this week

which is great..........feeling good

today, got enough sleep and get to

watch my lil darling later this 

afternoon.........just finishing up

the decorating in the living room

and I am packing stuff away!

Finally...............

So looks like it is gonna be a 

great day!!  Had planned to post

on Wednesday, but since I didn't

have access to the computer just

waited till today................

and here's my list.

for all the online shopping I have been

able to do this year.  Not my typical way

to shop,  but it has come in handy I have

to say............

I am thankful

for a sweet time with Brooklyn yesterday,

we stayed at her house as she was up a 

lot during the night with congestion, so we 

all wanted her to sleep well and have her

humidifier.  She was having trouble sleep-

ing lying down anyway tho,  so I  just rocked

and held her upright on my lap and she was

 able to sleep for 2 hours,  and was in such

 a great mood when see awoke.  She really

cracks us up all the time anymore.  Just so
precious.................

that we got to have dinner with Scott

and Megan,  as she picked up Sonny's

b-b-cue for all of us,  so that was nice

and we adults all got to visit a little bit too.

for a fun night out with hubby shopping

on Tuesday night again,  and that it pretty

much finished up my shopping,  accept for

a few things I want to get for hubby still.

So let the wrapping begin soon!

Yeah, I officially finished my shopping
 tonight!!  Only grocery shopping left.

for a nice dinner at Outback on Tuesday

that all our menus are set for the Mon.

Tues. and Wed. before Christmas, thanks

to DeeAnna helping me make plans since

they will be here then.........one less thing

for me to be concerned with.......She is

really getting more organized that me

these days...... and I am loving it!!

that we are gonna get to celebrate Jerry's

birthday with him while he is here.  It isn't

until early January but  we figured hey, 

why not!!  We are all getting together 

that night anyway.

I got a fun idea for Jerry's birthday table
tonight while at Wally World.....It is gonna
be a Merry snowman theme!  and just
a simple fun pizza and salad night, his
favorite sort of meal........lol

that hopefully tomorrow I can put away
all my Christmas decorating stuff...finally!
It is mainly all in the dining room and all
over the dining room table, everything
else looks pretty good........but it is time
to get the dining room tidied up so I can
start thinking of tablescapes............
my most fun thing to do...............one

for a sweet Christmas card and note that 
we recieved today from the lil gal (with the
broken rib) who stayed with us back in
October.  She is such a sweetie,  we also
got to attend her lil ones first birthday party
last weekend.

for Christmas movies,  we have gotten
to watch a few, some were silly but fun,
like Snow and Snow 2.  Haven't finished
Snow 2 yet, we fell asleep,  maybe we will
finish tomorrow night and wrap some at
the same time.................we love all sorts
of Christmas movies................

I have to say I have heard Merry Christmas
used more this year than in quite a few years, 
and it is like a well of refreshing everytime
I hear it.........
hope that is because the people of our nation
 are just so sick of this nonsense of political 
correctness and small groups of people try-
ing to change things that have been around
for 2,000 years................

I'm off my soapbox now!!   lol

Hello Sweet Friends,

How are you this Most Wonderful
 Time of the Year???  Hope you are
doing well,  and pacing yourself,
and taking some time to just enjoy
the wonder of it all................

I am doing my part......reading the word and 
singing along to my Christmas CD's most of the
 day, as I go about my chores.  Made a list today
and got so much more done,  and not at a frenetic
 pace,  but was happy with the results.....

Hubby is putting up our tree,  so gonna go
see if I can help or at least watch!!  lol

for the beautiful day outside,  it really is  glorious

and has been for a number of days now.

I am thankful

that we have finally found a new artificial Christmas

 tree that we love as much as our old one of 25 years.

Have been looking for a new one for quite a 

number of years now,  but couldn't find anything we

 liked as well as the one we had already, even tho there

 were some gaps and missing pieces in the branches and 

stuff. I just filled them in with Large items like birdhouses

 and angels, but this new one already has lights and sort of

 folds up,  so will be soooooo much easier for hubby to

 put up.........hopefully he want be having to crawl on 

the floor anymore............  That stuff is getting harder

for both of us as we get older!  lol

Happy to report we got the tree!  yeah!!
Now just hoping it looks as good as the one at Sears!

I am thankful

that Dee,  has found a new job in Asheville, 

working just 2 days a week,  and they are gonna be

very flexible with her so if she wants to come home

there should be no problem.  She isn't starting till

Jan.  but she is doing a few training days right now.

It appears to be exactly what she wanted,  so we

are so happy for her..................

I had worked on a card I was doing for someone
early,  didn't think they would need it till just
before Christmas,  but they are celebrating
earlier than I thought and needed it this week.
So the bulk of it was done,  and I finished it
today.  Shew................maybe that was the
reason for one of my sleepless nights!!  lol

it is almost 4:30 and it has been a very pro-
ductive day,  I have gotten everything on my 
list done accept for the Christmas decorating, 
 but have done some,  just need to do lots more,
but it is coming along..........slow but sure!! lol

for the fun of Christmas Shopping for a baby
again.......it has been a longggggg time,  and even 
tho we are am buying her mostly clothing, it is
 still so much fun........We did get her a neat mouse 
puppet, really a rat, I think, while in Asheville, in 
this cool lil toy store there in Dee's town square, 
where she lives.  We have a lil mouse puppet book 
that Brooklyn is crazy about,  so think she will really
 like this bigger version of Mr. Mouse, as I call him.
My whole hand fits inside so you can work his
head hands and feet,  so cute...............

I am thankful
for Christmas music,  I love to play it all season
long.........it just so puts me in the mood and is a
 great reminder of the real reason for the Season,
 as they say.  When I went to the dentist office on
 Tuesday I felt like I was at home cause they were
 playing a lot of the same CD's that we have.  Very
cool to hear that at the dentist and then later that
night we went to Carrabbas and they were playing
it there too.......we thought that was just great!
We mentioned it to one of the employees and he
said he loved it too,  and that was why he liked
to work at Carrabbas cause they were much 
more family oriented that other restaurants,
cause they were closed on Thanksgiving and
Christmas, and other places he had worked,
they had to work on those days.  I think that
people should be able to be home with their
 families on these few days of the year..............

Didn't know that about Carrabbas,  but it makes
me want to give them or send them business.

for a quick chat with my friend Becky,  we
haven't had time to talk at all lately,  so that
was a nice few minutes,  course, it was really
about 45 mins. I would say!!  lol
Even nicer!!

that now I will have all the free greenery
I want from our old Christmas tree, since
we can't use the real stuff without going
allergy crazy............and it seems like I
can never find any artificial that I like 
either.  So I have struck paydirt!!  lol

for Sam's rotisserie chickens especially
this time of the year when we are so
busy.  Already have leftover mac and
cheese and shredded lettuce,  so all
I have to do is throw together a nice
salad and I'm done.........whoppee!!

that Scott and Megan's house was not
broken into today.  When she got home
what seemed like their alarm system
was going off....  it turned out to be the
smoke alarm,  other than the piercing
noise,  there was nothing wrong.
Praise the Lord!

I am thankful
 for a fun walk down memory lane
tonight with hubby as we looked at a
Mother Goose Book I used to read all
the time as a kid.  It was given to me
back in 1978 by my Maternal Grand-
mother, she bought it back in 1919, but
 it was copywrited in 1915.  We looked
 it up online just for fun to see what it 
might be worth........not that I would sell
 it,  but it isn't worth anything really.
It has the neatest Illustrations.........
Some I remember so vividly!

for an eggnog coffee I made for myself
today.  It was yummo,  just poured 
some decaf coffee in a cup and added
eggnog till the coffee was blonde color,
Absolutely Delish........no sugar necessary!

Morning Sweet Friends,

How is your week going so far??

Our weekend was productive....got all the Fall

decorations down and packed away and put up

the outside Christmas lights, and brought in the

Christmas boxes to start decorating the house,

and got all my pillows out and did the mantle,

but that is as far as I have gotten this far.

I decided since I was so tired on Monday that

I just needed a down day with no where to go,

and not much to do.........so that is exactly what

I did,  not much of anything and went no where.

Just what the Dr.(ME) ordered................lol

Cause Tuesday I had a dental appt.  to get what

I thought was my last crown,  turned out I needed

another one,  so they did 2 crown preps yesterday,

so was in the dental chair almost 4 hrs.  No pain

tho, so really can't complain, and it wouldn't do any

good anyway,  lol,  but was hoping it was my last

 visit for a while,  but now I have to go back to get

 the permanent crowns in early January.  Course,

like the saying goes,  "Life is what happens when

we are making our plans".......so true!

Afterwards,  I grabbed a Chocolate Elvis at

Planet Smoothie to reward myself for not giving

the dentist a hard time!!  lol  

Then...........I commenced with my

Christmas shopping..........bought my first Christ-

mas presents finally, cause I am way behind my

normal routine.  Then hubby joined me later and

we shopped till almost 9 then went to din din

at Carrabbas.........finally got that in.... since we 

wound up missing out on that for our Anniversary.

and guess what??  They were playing wonderful

Christmas music,  ones with the real meaning

of Christmas,  we were pleasantly surprised!!

Also got some really cute clothes for the baby

 for Christmas,  and a few other things,  so I have

officially started..................Yeah!!

Today we have our lil darling,  so doubt I will

get anything done today,  since this is her day,

we just play all day...............

I am typing this cause she is taking a nappy.

So.........Just wanted to say Hi and hope you are

 enjoying the Christmas Season...........
