More Fall vignettes for 2013

 Hello Sweet Friends,

Hope you are having a great week 
this far!

I am truly having a great week this far.
Decided to just have a fun day with
pictures, since we all love those pictures.

More Fall Vignettes....figured I better get 
them in now before the Christmas decorations
go up!  lol

This in my lil terrium box that Becky from

 TimeWashed gave me for my birthday last year.

All dressed up for Fall

This is my reminder of Becky box really......

The sunflower was from her and the lil scrolly

 pumpkins.

So everytime I see it I think of her.

Believe it or not this was a Christmas
 card and I just think it is so pretty, 
 but looks more like Fall so I always
 incorporate it somewhere
in my Fall Decorating.

Here is the whole table top.

The cross stitch Welcome basket was done

partially by me and partially by my sister-

in-law Paula years ago.  I made it to match

my old kitchen wall paper, so it used to

reside in my kitchen, but since I can

no longer use it there I decided to use

it with my Fall decorations.

This vignette is on the top of my serving cart
which is in the middle of my family and 
dining room.

on the way to bedrooms and 
the guest bath.  I decided to use the
pumpkins over it to fill space since
I usually have a large picture here.
and I usually put the metal pumpkins
outside the front door.

Know these are a lil dark but hard to get
real good shots in this hallway.

Welcome to Thankful Thursday - November 7, 2013 - Happy Anniversary to Us!! lol

Happy Thankful Thursday 
Sweet Peas,

Late again, but I have a very
good reason as you will read.

So....How are ya these days???

I am doing well, have been trying to catch up
on my rest, and am feeling some what better,
but keep waking up about 3:30 or so with
night sweats and being awake for hours, 
 which is just so much fun, and makes me 
sleep deprived, of course,  but other than 
that things are going well..................


So on with Thankful Thursday.......

I am thankful

for 43 years of marriage to my sweet 

hubby and friend.  I am the only one
in my family to be married to the same 
person, and the only one to ever be
 married this long. That is such a thrilling 
thing for me, as it is a heritage I definitely
 want to pass on to my children 
and grandchildren.

I am thankful

for the wonderful man I am married

to........he has learned over the years

that earning a living is not all there is

to being a man, even tho, that is a big

facet of it,  and he does a great job of

 that,  he also knows it is important to

 love God first, His wife and family

next, then others,  and to be a 

sweet servant leader.  He does an

amazing job of all of these.

I am thankful

that because of all of the above he

has a wife and children and now 

grandchild who respects and adores

him.  It really is hard for it to get 

much better than that...........

that even tho we have had our up and 

downs just like all married couples that

we can honestly say we have had more

ups than downs.............and we know

without any doubt it is because of our

relationships with the Lord.

for our 2 great and beautiful children,

2 in-love children, and our lil darling grand-

daughter that God has blessed our union with.

(and our lil grand daughter dog Rosie) lol

for something fun we have planned to 

celebrate our Anniversary and will tell you

 about it in a later post, after we have

done it and have some pictures.

I am thankful

that we are going out to dinner tonight

at Carrabbas to celebrate as well.  

Note: That was the plan, but we wound 
up getting take out from Road House grill 
because I was having stomach issues.....

But we enjoyed it and that is all that
matters really...........
There will be another night for Carrabbas!
but it was a lil disappointing at first, as we
were both really looking forward to it.

Life is what happens when we are 
making our plans...........lol

for a lovely and sweet Anniversary

card we got from DeeAnna and Jerry

today, and a very Sweet E-card

from Susan my Sister-in-love,
and of course, last but not least,
the sweet and loving card from
my better half.

Here we are a few Christmas's ago!
Time to take some new pics.............lol

for a fun phone conversation with my

daughter today, and so happy that they 

are enjoying their lives so much.

Course, we talk to each other almost

daily except on weekends. But this

was just a particularly fun one.....

for coat hangers, just imagine having

to fold every piece of clothing you

have..........uh uh.........that would

be no fun at all.............can you tell

 I have just been doing laundry!  lol

My hangers got all gnarled up and was
a bit aggravating but then I thought
even tho, I would sure hate to not
have them............lol

for a new series we are doing on dealing

with Conflict, hoping that this will be

the material for our new class in January.

and of course, you always have a situation

that comes up so you get to practice.  lol

 I am thankful

that we have refreshed and more 

knowledge on what our real goal should be,

and how to go about it. Learning things

based on God's word makes such a remark-

able difference in how we approach life.

Heart tips Tuesday - and Gluten free and heart healthy products

Hello Sweet Friends,

Hope you are having a good week so far.

Mine has been good,  busy yesterday, on the phone a lot in 

the morning, some of the time with Dee,  and then a trip to

 the chiropractor in the afternoon and then over to Scott

 and Megan's to watch the baby so they could go out for his

 36th Birthday...................

Wow, that is making us feel old!  lol

We didn't do a dinner for him at this time this year, at 

the last minute on Sunday we just went out to dinner with 

them,  think he may have been giving his Mom a break

 since he knew all that has gone on these last few weeks.  

Think we are gonna do one big celebration dinner when 

Dee comes Thanksgiving week for he, Megan and our 

Anniversary.  Dee will have to leave Thanksgiving

morning,  but she will be here for about 4 days,

 so that will be nice.

It was a lil less busy today,  was doing fun stuff like

 making cards and catching up on some laundry,  and 

had a nice long quiet time today too, a much needed

 blessing for sure.......

Well, guess I had better tell you about these products 

you see in the pictures! lol

Got the Rice thins and the Say cheese crackers

at Wally Word.  They are both good,  but we favor

the Say cheese crackers for sure.

This jovial pasta I bought at Fresh market,  it is made

 from brown rice,  and we actually think it tastes better.

These products are also heart healthy as well 

as gluten free...........so 2 birds with one stone,

I like that!!

Also got these products above from Wally World too,

  but haven't tried the cookie mix yet,  but did make the

bread,  and I liked it better than any I have tried so far......

need to get some more, but some walmarts carry it

 and some don't.  Wish I could just get it sliced thinner

like most breads.  I looked at Bed Bath and Beyond

hoping they might have a thing you stick in the bread

to make it slice evenly,  but they didn't have one.

Maybe I will find one somewhere,  or if any of you

know what I am talking about and have found one

please let me know where you got it...........

would so appreciate that!

Also,  Becky from Time washed told me that she

eats a lot of things on rice cakes,  so I have tried

that and it is pretty good.  I have put peanut butter

and pumpkin butter on one,  and laughing cow

cream cheese and cucumbers on another,  and

 then laughing cow with cinnamon and honey 

with nuts on top.

All a great switch out...........for bread!,

 yet is quite tasty still..................

Once I try the cookie mix I will try and remember

to let you know how it turned out.

Welcome to Thankful Thursday - October 31, 2013

Greetings Sweet Friends,

I am late again...................but 
figured I would post anyway.

Hope all who celebrate it,
 had a fun and safe Halloween.

We only had about 3 groups of trick or treaters,
and I always get a kick out of seeing the lil ones
all dressed up so cute,  but this year none of the
costumes were cute, in fact, couldn't tell what
they were really,  then we had one really ghouly 
looking group,  teens I suspect!
I am only for cutesie, Happy Halloween
decorations and costumes myself........
these others really creep me out!

But to each his own!!

Been another busy week here,  am looking
forward to next week hoping it will be a little
less lively................

that I sold my first 3 cards without even
 trying..........a big thrill for me!!

I am thankful

for some great ideas from my daughter and Jennifer
 (the gal we kept last week with the baby)

about avenues for selling my cards.  So now

praying about what direction to take.

I am thankful
that we were able to find some other ladies
to stay with Jennifer and the baby.   Her hubby
 had  to leave again on Tuesday and it was pretty
 much down to the wire. Me and my teen side-kick
are gonna take Thursday and Friday, but she needed 
someone for Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday,
and just like last week,  the Lord has so graciously
supplied that need.  It has been so amazing and
fun to watch how He is taking care of her.

I am thankful
again, for the body of Christ and how they have
really stepped up and come to her aid.  Not only
have they supplied meals but a missionary lady
who is a nanny has offered to stay with her
24 hrs. a day for $60.00 a day,  which is like
the price, if not more,  of an 8 hr. shift.
She will be staying with her over the weekend.

All these things have been just such a beautiful
 thing to behold................

Please pray if you feel so led,  that they are a good 
fit for each other and that all goes well.

I am thankful
for a sweet 3 hour visit with a neighbor on Tuesday,
we see each other to say hello, and a comment or
 two across the way,  but it  has been awhile since
 we have acutally sat down together to talk and to
 catch up a little.  So it was nice!

for a beautiful picture my long time friend from
Tennessee sent me of she and her hubby.
It was really a wonderful pic of both of them
so hoping I can print it and frame it.

that Jenn is  coming along and doing better,  but
 it is still gonna be a while before she can pick up 
the baby,  as she is still having quite a bit of pain.

we got to see our lil pumpkin all dressed up in her 
Halloween outfit,  she looked adorable as you can see!
Not smiling tho,  cause think she was just really tired,
and teething,  then of course, there is the camera
which always seems to make her go serious!! lol

that I unexpectedly got the day off from baby watching,
  as a lady volunteered and another friend of Jenn's said
she would come for awhile,  then we will pick her up
and bring her and the baby here to spend the night.
The Lord knew how tired I was!  lol

 that it has been much easier watching the baby
at her house than at mine, since she has kinder
guards and a play area with toys and all that.
