Help for Adversity - Pt. 4 - Possible Reasons for Adversity

Happy Monday Morning
 Sweets Friends,

So how in the world are you????
Have missed you over the weekend.

We had a busy, yet fun weekend.  Friday we were
still getting ready for our dinner party on Saturday
with Scott and Megan and her family.  I am happy
to report it turned out to be quite a lovely evening.
So nice to know them now with all the wedding
fesitivities coming up.

Sunday was church of course,  then we had the
priviledge Sunday evening of watching them honor
Pastor Tony and Jessica (from over @ Jewels for the
journey and Mother daughter Tango) and then we
had a fellowship after so everyone could say their
good byes and love on them a bit.
Pastor Tony also preached in the morning service
and did an awesome job as always.

It was a very bitter/sweet day and evening!!
Cause they are really going to be missed!!
But we know that God has something really neat
in store for them, or he would not have allowed
this to happen.  So we are waiting to see what
the Lord does!!

Speaking of that .........guess I should get on
with the possible reasons for adversity.

I will probably only get to discuss one today
or it will be way too long, so I will just continue
it next week.

Adversity tip
#5

Remember that what you are going thru may not
have been caused by the Lord because we live in a
fallen world,  but it has passed through your Heavenly
Father's hands and he has allowed it in your life.....
even if the enemy instigated it. God will use it to
your best advantage.

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good
to those who love God, to those who are the called
according to His purpose.

Sometimes we can't or don't see that right away, but I
believe we should be looking for anything good that
happens out of a bad situation cause they are there
but we need to be looking for them.

Also remember Satan is nothing more than God's
 errand boy!

Note:  The Job story chapter 1

Also remember Joseph with his brothers that betrayed
him,  and what he said, according to

Genesis 50:20
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for
good to accomplish what is now being done,
 the saving of many lives.

Sometimes the things that happen are just part
of God's plan for us, but  then sometimes......

Tip#6

This is one you might not want to hear, but for me
I think it is definitely one we need  to be  open to,
and very aware of  just in case!

Know that the Lord may have sent the adversity
 your way
because of some disobedience on your part.
(Known or unknown)

(Remember there are other reasons coming,  I
am not saying this is the reason, but there
are times in just might be since that is why
we need a savior in the first place)

Deuteronomy 8:5 says,
Know then in your heart that as a man
disciplines his son, so the LORD your God
 disciplines you.

Hebrews 12: 5-11 says,
"My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline,
and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,

6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son."

7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating
you as sons. For what son is not disciplined
 by his father?

8 If you are not disciplined (and everyone
undergoes discipline), then you are
illegitimate children and not true sons.

9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who
disciplined us and we respected them for it.
How much more should we submit
to the Father of our spirits and live!

10 Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as
 they thought best;
but God disciplines us for our good,
that we may share in his holiness.

11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time,
but painful. Later on, however, it produces
a harvest of righteousness and peace
for those who have been trained by it.

So for me, I always think it is a wise thing to start here,
by asking the Lord to search my heart to see if there is
any wicked way in me, or if there is any sin he is trying
to reveal, or if their is sin He has already shown me.

Psalm 139:23-24, says David asked

Search me, O God, and know my heart;
 Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.

If we are wise.....
should He shows us something,
we should be confessing it quickly and
asking for his cleansing, and then the
adversity will probably cease quickly.

1John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just
and will forgive us our sins and
purify us from all unrighteousness.

But......................
It could be that your adversity is coming from
God's pruning shears.............
and we will talk about that next week.

Thanks for coming by
hope you enjoyed your visit............
and
Hope you have a Marvelous Monday!!

Loved this post-I know it will be hard to have Jess gone but the Lord has another plan. Loved your tips on adversity and I also think that sometimes the Lord uses them in our lives to impact the lives of others-for His glory.
