Thankful Thursday April 30, 2020, Spring scenes at our house passed....

He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the Lord
and put their trust in him.
Psalm 40:3 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends
and Welcome to May,

Hope this has been a good week
for you.  Been good here, other
than hearing about another friend
friend who has cancer and she
has been having so many things
happen, it is just heartbreaking,
but we and she were encouraged
as we saw the Lord answer 4
 different prayer requests for her
in just 2 days. Waiting to here
back on another test she had
yesterday.  Hoping for good
results on that too.
So been doing a lot of praying for
her, and my other friend that has
the ovarian cancer, she did get
some good news this week, about
the Insurance helping to pay for
 medication that she needs (which
is outrageously expensive) until
she can go to Singapore for her
 T-cell treatment, which they are
hoping for June now, but have
to wait and see.  She and her
family has been on lockdown
every since her cancer was dis-
covered the end of December.
Thankful that she is feeling well
and in good spirits which is truly
amazing. Both of these ladies
 are well loved, incredible
Godly women.

Well, on with my Thankfuls....

Oh yea, Pictures today will be
scenes from Springs passed at
 our house.

#1
Thankful that the 52 yr. old
fellow that got off the ventilator
due to the virus, has been home
now for about a week.  He is
truly a walking miracle.

#2 and 3
Thankful that we think we have
all our glitches taken care of on
our website, and most of the
things we still had yet to do are
done now......

Thankful to see some folks using
it and getting their free cards.

#4
Thankful for some cool mornings
again, so we have been able to
sit on our porch and do our bible
reading and praying and just
enjoying it.

#5
Thankful for some dreaming about
some things we want to get started
on in the backyard near our shed.

#6
Thankful for 4 new recipes I have
learned about from Hello Fresh.
All delish.....

#7
Thankful that we have not been
able to find the bushes we want
for out front online,  so we have
to wait, but the waiting has made
me start thinking in a different
direction of maybe something
else besides bushes. Will see!

#8
Thankful that we are suppose to
be off of lock down this coming
Monday, May 4th, and some things
will be opening back up. Our covid
#'s are flattening,  praise the Lord.
Yesterday we were at 6%, hoping
and praying, it keeps going down.
Unfortunately they went up about
10% from yesterday.

#9
Thankful that we are going to
have a sleepover with lil darling
on Friday night.  Looking for-
ward to that. Actually that is
tonight now..........

#10
Thankful that we got some
painting done outside. Some
new wooden edging we are
replacing by our new shed
and a bench that I have been
wanting to paint for years.  lol
We are sooo motivated around
here.....lol

#11
Thankful for the gift of prayer
and the peace that it brings
and the way it can change our
attitude and thinking when we
take things to the Lord in prayer.

#12
Thankful for a good belly laugh
at myself  I was helping hubby mow
the lawn and I kept thinking this thing
is not mowing very well, and I think
he just sharpened the blades, and I
know I just now mowed this area,
and looks like I didn't and wonder
 why it's not mowing properlly!!

Then it dawns on me.....

I forgot to engage the mower blades.
By now I was dying laughing, and
hubby just happened to turn off the
weed eater, in time to hear the
difference in the sound of the tractor
mower and looked over and saw me
laughing and then he started laugh-
ing, as he realized what had just
happened.....so it was a fun few
 minutes...lol  Just could not believe
I forgot and was just riding around
oblivious to the fact, and couldn't quit
laughing. This getting older stuff can
be pretty funny at times, and we just
 can't take ourselves too seriously
 sometimes.

Well, that's all for this week.
The anticipation of getting off
Lock Down from Covid-19
Edition.

Thank for stopping by and
hope you have a blessed
weekend.

Keep your light shining brightly.

Love, Hugs, and
First of May Blessings,

Nellie

  4. Hi Susan,
    Thanks for coming by hon.........
Yes, we want this virus to hit the road and never come back, no more, no more...lol

and yes, it is nice having help, cause for years I did most of that kind of stuff all by myself while he was at work, and it definitely makes the work go quicker. Like the old
saying many hands makes the work light.

Yea, laughter can be a great stress reliever and is Good medicine for the soul as the
    bible says.

    Have a great week,
    Love ya, Nellie
