Scripture Sunday - urgence of prayers and petitions

Happy Sunday and
Happy July,

July 1st....wow!  How can it be??

Here is the verse for today!

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions,
 prayers, intercession and thanksgiving
 be made for all people—
for kings and all those in authority,
that we may live peaceful and quiet
lives in all godliness and holiness.

1 Timothy 2: 1-2 NIV

First the apostle Paul urged Timothy and
others to pray and now I join with him
and
strongly urge you to pray for our leaders
if you are a praying person.....our country
needs all the prayers it can get.

Have a really Blessed day,

Nellie

  2. Every day, our leaders are a major part of my prayer list. Matthew 5:44 also tells us, "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." These were the Words of our LORD Jesus to His disciples. I pray for the LORD's leading, guiding, and directing His servants in all parts of the government as well as those who don't profess Him as Savior. Love you, Susan
