Fall kitchen Table and Coffee Klatsch

Hello..............

How are ya today?? 

 Doing well, I hope..................

I am doing well,  just  cleaning out our old van so

we can say good bye to her soon!!  

Bought these chrysanthamums last week,  and hubby 

said oh, you brought me flowers, and they do look

 like guy flowers I have to say, so if you want to 

buy your hubby some flowers well this would

be a great choice!  lol

The first 2 pics make them look chocolate brown and

 gold,  but in the store in the bright lights they looked

 more like burgundy and sunflower yellow.

Added a cinnamon roll candle I think it is,  the labels

come off,  so now I forgot what it is,  but from the

aroma,  that is what I would say it is............

Added some lace around it to make it look purty!!

and a wee pumpkin and some nuts.

 You can see a lil more of the redish tint in them here!

 Have had this pitcher a long while now,  think I got

it at Target years ago..........but still love it and love

to use it in Fall cause of the pretty leaves on it.

Since I was taking pics decided to play a bit

so decided to have a lil coffee klatsch vignette

With a Posterized affect.

 Did have the bowls of nuts with the candle

where the flowers are... liked it so just kept

it on the table too!  It looks better when
the candle is taller,  but I have burned it
down quite a bit.

Added some faux goodies for fun.

and the bowl of nuts but they are usually

in the center of the table.

Table Top Tuesday - More Fall Fun

Evening Sweet Friends,

Hope you day was good!

Mine was good,  just had a lot to get done,  and then my 
computer was not wanting to cooperate with me today
 for some strange reason.

I have been trying to get this posted all day,
but for one reason or another it just hasn't happened.
until now,  and it is bedtime so hoping to quickly get
er done....................lol

Thought I would show you some more Fall pictures
from my house.  These first shots are of a round
table in my family room.

Love all these natural elements...ya know!

I usually put this arrangement on the coffee table
but decided to do something different this year!
I like it here, a nice change, and will show you
the coffee table next week probably.

This next table top is in my hallway on the way
to the guest bathroom and bedroom and our
computer room.  We have a split plan .
Master Bedroom and Bath on one end, other
bath and bedrooms at opposite end.   We
have really liked that!

A faux pumpkin with just a few added touches

I like to use greeting cards sometimes if I really like them,
and they remind me of someone special or a special event.

I used the blue to give a punch of color and a lil surprise.

 Posterized Affect

 Always nice to add a lil candlelight. I do love using my candles
They just cheer me up,  and most of them make the house
smell so great!

What is a gazelle? Besides an animal, You asked!!

Hello Sweet Friends,

Happy Monday to you!! 
 Hope you had a great weekend
 full of  life's blessings!!

Ours was ....... played a lot of wii tennis, 
watched a movie that turned out to be a play, 
and I like plays... but was expecting a movie, 
 it was okay! Just not what we were expecting,
 and we kept falling asleep anyway!! lol 
Went to a ladies get together at my church on
 Saturday, Sunday School and church on Sunday,
then for Yomii yogurt, tried a new flavor "Mango
Tango",  very refreshing!  took a short nap, and
we went over to Dee and Jerry's in the late
afternoon, and she did my hair as we visited,
and hubbies talked and watched a movie.
It is always a fun time for me anytime I 
get to see my kids.............


Well, I was suppose to post this last Monday
and forgot all about it, but downloaded some
pics a bit ago and realized oh yea, you sort
of forgot about that!  So anyway, Here they
are better late than never.  Just for you

The header picture is our "Gazelle",  and it
is for exercising as I am sure you might
 have guessed but just didn't know what
it looked like or maybe you did..........lol

Sorry for this really bad pic, 

 but too lazy to take another one!  

These are the peddles for your feet.

It is sort of like an elliptical I guess you could
say, but think it came out way before they did.

so once you put your feet to the peddle
then you put your arms to the metal
Sorry....just couldn't resist!  lol

Anyway, you just put your hands on the
 upper handle bars and start swinging
 those arms and legs.

As hopefully you can tell from my lovely
demonstration, lol, that your legs and arms
are opposite of one another as you swing
back and forth on it.  It really gives a 
pretty good aerobic workout.

We use it about 1 or twice a week, and
we try to vary our routine daily so we don't 
get bored. So one day we will do the gazelle, 
then the next an aerobic video (we have a 
number of those that we rotate as well), then
 a stationary bike, and now we have something 
else called Wii walk it out too.  So all that
keeps us pretty active, and the gazelle and
bike we can do while we watch a movie, which
 makes it go by quickly and painlessly!  lol
and we really like that!!  

We try to exercise 4-5 times a week,for 30 mins,
and if we get behind we will double up and do
a 45 min or 1 hr. session if need be.  Has been
working great for us for almost 7 years now.
Since hubby had his initial heart problems,and
we feel the Lord has really used it to bring a lot
of healing to his heart problems.  Cause he
really feels better than he did years ago.

Well, there you have it folks,  The Gazelle...

It is a good thing, as Martha Stewart would say!
We wore our first one out,  so we are working
on our 2nd one now,  so we highly recommend
it............

I am a day late and a dollar short as they say.
This has just really been a busy week for me,
a really good week, but certainly way busier
than my usual.  I am finishing this up in between
wii tennis games!  lol
Sorry I don't have as many pic as usual.........
but I knew you would live..............lol

I am thankful

for our new to us, Van.  We have been looking

for awhile,  and Saturday we finally hit on one

that sounded great for us,  so we went to see

it and wound up coming home with her!

She is a 2008 Toyota Sienna with 60,000 miles 

but looks like a brand new Van.  She drives like

 a dream, and we really love her!!

I have nicknamed her Whitey,  cause she is

white and I have wanted a white car forever

it seems like!  So I am so excited, and just
love driving her.

I am thankful

for all the wonderful service and enjoyment

that our old 19 year Van gave us,  and altho,

it is time for her to go,  I shall miss her too. lol

We made some wonderful memories in that Van.

that we got our garage hoed out enough to....

 to get Whitey in there.  As we had given up

on getting our other car back in there just do

to circumstance after circumstance...............

Still have work to do out there,  and glad this

is giving us the incentive as it has been driving

me crazy for awhile now,  but was just waiting

for cooler weather.

for places like Hospice and Good Will that you

can take good used things to rather than just

throw them out,  cause I don't like to waste things,

but am not really wanting to have a garage sale,

plus I like giving it to a good cause anyway.

for Hospice,  as they were like angels of mercy

when my Father-in-law had cancer years ago.

I am thankful

for a good bible study lesson today,  and a fun

day out doing some grocery shopping,  and 

going to Michael's and the Dollar Tree, and

having a Chocolate Elvis..............ummmm

(I started this post yesterday afternoon late,
so most all of this post was done yesterday
but a few.)

I am thankful

that I found some really neat card embellishments

today at a great price,  and for just $2.43 I got

like 25 of them,  typically,  you get about 8-10

for $3.99...............works for me!!

I am thankful

that I have learned quite a bit on the new card

software program,  and have completed 3 cards

now,  and am very happy with them.  Lots more

to learn yet,  but it's coming along................

that hubby found a psalm this morning that
he feels we should claim for our country.
I couldn't agree more.........it is Psalm 125.
If you get a chance read it, as you might
want to pray it and claim it for our country
too..........................
and How bout that Romney................
didn't he do an awesome job!!

that we are going to be finding out the Gender

of our new grandchild to be, on Sat. Oct. 13th.

Scott and Megan are having a baby gender party

where you find out what gender it is by cutting

the cake, if it is pink - it's a girl,  if it is blue, then

of course, it's a boy............hope they don't make a

 mistake and make it green or something crazy,

that would be something!!  Best be praying on

that one..............lol

I am thankful

that Megan is coming along well,  and they have

heard babies heart beat a number of times now.

She is feeling a lil better too,  but still pretty tired.

She is 18 weeks now,  I think it is.............

I am thankful
for a nice morning out with Becky, our lil punkin 
maker from over at Junk to Joy, or Time Washed, 
 I think she calls it now.......I am having trouble keeping
 up with the name! Can you tell!!  lol  We went to Cracker
 Barrel and we both had a great breakfast and fun time
yakking and catching up. Seems like ages since we have
seen each other..................so it was a blessing!
Course, it is always a blessing to spend time with her!


Well, that is my list for this week.........

Low Fat, Gluten Free, White Sauce Recipe

Hope this finds you having a 

good Wednesday!

I am having a good day thus far.

It is a pretty & sunny day here right now,  but almost

every afternoon,  we are having storms and rain, so

expect that will be our afternoon. lol  Am hoping not

since we really need to mow the grass!  lol

A few of you asked me if I would share the Low

Fat Gluten Free, White Sauce Recipe I found online.

It was really good,  I have to say,  and could not

even tell any difference over the usual.

I love white sauce on my Cauliflower,  and also

to make creamed squash,  and I doubled the below

recipe and made both,  and even had some leftover.

Mind you that was enough for 2 of us,  so just trying

to give you an idea,  so you will know if you want to

 double or triple it, or maybe more,  for your own use.

This is a combination of my Low Fat version, along with

 their Gluten Free Version.  So here is their web address

White Sauce Recipe

~1 Tablespoon of margarine 

(I use Land of Lakes light margarine with canola oil)

~1 Tablespoon of Rice Flour

(I used Bob's Red Mill Stone Ground White Rice Flour

that I ought it at Publix Grocery Store)

Their recipe said sweet rice flour but somehow I missed

that when I went to purchase mine,  they said it is less

gritty,  but I didn't think mine was gritty!  Anyhow, just

in case you want to try the other!!

~1 cup Milk

(I used 1% Milk)

~1/4 Teaspoon of salt

~1/8 Teaspoon of Pepper

Directions

Melt butter over low heat, allow to cool slightly, and then

add the rice flour, stirring as you mix it in with the butter.

 When smooth, turn up the heat and keep stirring until the

 mixture bubbles. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly

 to avoid lumps.  When all the milk is added, bring to a boil

 and then reduce the heat.  Cook for 3 more mins. Add the

 seasonings after removing from heat and blend into the

 sauce. ( I added my Seasoning once I put all the milk

in and it turned out fine.................not good at following

directions to the T, cause I have my own way of making

white sauce!!  lol.)

This white sauce could be used to make sausage gravy,

cream of broccoli, mushroom, celery or  cream of chicken

soup. Also can be used for creamed spinach, squash or

corn or to put on cauliflower.  and probably uses I would

not think of as well.  If you have any other ideas please

let me know....................

Hope you try and make it and enjoy it as much as we

did................some morning I am gonna make us some

sausage gravy............looking forward to that!

Monday and a lovely weekend as well.

Can't believe we are into the 2nd day of October already.

Amazing how fast the time goes............

Have been a busy girl so am gonna make this short and

 just add some pictures..........if you can believe that!  lol

These are pics from our family room.  It is of our sofa table

that is against the wall.  You have seen her before!  Just

decorated differently.

Added some  berries in the topiary



 I really like to use natural elements particularly
in the Fall........................these leaves have been
around forever,  they are real leaves just preserved
with something!

Love these pictures,  I have 2......the other one
is up on top of my china hutch,  will probably
show that at a later date.

Another cute lil punkin my SIL Susan gave to me.
It is a Jack 0 Lantern on the other side, and you
can put a candle in it, if you want, so the face shows up.

Well,  this is my 2nd Fall Table Top.....
