HAPPY MONDAY
TO ALL YOU
SWEET PEAS OUT THERE!!
HOPE YOU HAD A GOOD
WEEKEND AND A GOOD
MONDAY!
OUR WEEKEND WAS A LIL DISAPPOINTING,
QUIET, BUT STILL GOOD!!
IT WAS DISAPPOINTING BECAUSE JIM
GOT AN EMAIL LATE FRIDAY AFTERNOON
SAYING THE JOB HAD ALREADY BEEN FILLED.
SO WE WERE SOMEWHAT DISAPPOINTED,
YET WE HAD PRAYED LORD IF THIS IS
WHERE YOU WANT HIM, PLEASE OPEN THE
DOOR AND IF NOT, CLOSE IT!!
SO HE CLOSED IT, AND ALTHOUGH WE
ARE GLAD HE IS LEADING AND GUIDING
US, WE ALSO GOT OUR HOPES UP A BIT
THAT MAYBE THIS TRIAL WAS ABOUT
TO BE OVER, CAUSE IT IS ALMOST
16 WEEKS THIS WEDNESDAY.
WE WERE OVER OUR DISAPPOINTMENT
BY SATURDAY EVENING, ESPECIALLY
AFTER WE WATCHED A FILM CALLED
"FAITH OF OUR FATHER'S".
IT IS A FILM ABOUT SENATOR JOHN
MCCAIN, AND WHAT HE WENT THRU
WHEN HE WAS A PRISIONER OF WAR
IN VIET NAM. I ALREADY HAD A GREAT
RESPECT FOR THE MAN JUST KNOWING
HE WAS A POW, BECAUSE I HAD HEARD
STORIES ABOUT OTHER POW'S, AND
MY BROTHER WENT FOR 2 TOURS
OF DUTY THERE AS WELL.
I HAVE TO SAY IT WAS VERY HARD
TO WATCH AT TIMES, BUT I AM
SO GLAD WE DID........I HAVE THE
UPMOST RESPECT FOR THIS DEAR
MAN, AND HOW HE STOOD FOR HIS
COUNTRY, BUT WHAT HE WENT THRU
IS JUST UNIMAGINABLE..........
THAT HUMAN
BEINGS CAN BE SO CRUEL AND IN
HUMANE IS JUST BEYOND SICK.
IF ANYONE DESERVED TO BE OUR
PRESIDENT, I DEFINITELY THINK
HE QUALIFIED BIG TIME!!
IF YOU ARE GOING THRU A TRIAL
THIS MOVIE WILL GIVE YOU BIG
TIME PERSPECTIVE, TRUST ME!!
IT WAS A PRETTY CLEAN MOVIE
TOO!! A LIL LANGUAGE BUT MILD
SCHOOL AND CHURCH AND WE
HAD A SPECIAL CELEBRATION
AND A MORTGAGE BURNING
SINCE THE CHURCH
IS NOW 100% PAID OFF!
GOD IS SO AMAZING!!
AND THERE WAS MUCH REJOICING!!
TODAY I WAS SUPPOSED TO GO
BACK TO THE CHIROPRACTOR
BUT WAS NOT FEELING TOO WELL
THIS MORNING, QUEASY, SOME
TIMES THE ANTIBIOTICS MAKE
ME FEEL LIKE THAT, BUT IT CAN
ALSO BE FROM BEING SO OVER
TIRED, BECAUSE OF HAVING TO
GET UP DURING THE NIGHT TO
TAKE THEM. HOPEFULLY, I
WILL BE DONE BY FRIDAY. YEA!!
I THINK THE ENEMY IS DOING
ALL HE CAN TO TRY AND PULL
US DOWN RIGHT NOW, BUT
PRAYER AND PRAISE ARE OUR
WEAPON OF CHOICE!!
MAY THE LORD BLESS YOUR
EVENING AND YOUR TOMORROW.
LOVE, HUGS AND BLESSINGS,
AND SCRAPE UP THAT LAST BIT
OF SUMMER TIME FUN!!
CAUSE FALL, SHE IS A COMING!!
I CAN'T WAIT!! I WILL PROBABLY START
DECORATING NEXT WEEK, IF POSSIBLE!! LOL
SIGH,
NELLIE
OH............
IF YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE 140
DAYS OF PRAYER FOR OUR NATION
THIS IS WEEK #9
AND WE ARE TO PRAY ABOUT THE
INCREASING UNEMPLOYMENT
(WE CERTAINLY KNOW HOW TO
PRAY FOR THAT ONE!! LOL)
AND OUR SCRIPTURE IS
PHILIPPIANS 4:19
OH YEA, DID ANYONE ELSE SEE
THE GLEN BECK RALLY ON SAT.??
SOMEONE SENT US A LINK TO
FACEBOOK AND WE GOT TO SEE
MOST OF IT. WE THOUGHT IT
WAS AWESOME!!
I AM REALLY GOING THIS TIME!!
BYE NOW!!
Oh, Nellie, I am so sorry that the job didn't work out. Yes, I know you want God's will and were asking him to close doors if it wasn't his will, but we know from experience that it is still disappointing. I told you Gary was out of work from June 2003 to July 2005 (25 months to the day), and were it not for our faith, we would never have survived that. As Christians, we knew (as you and Jim know) that God kept the door closed because he has something else (better) planned. If we were not believers in God's sovereignty, though, we would have felt SO rejected. So, I remind you and Jim, that Jim was not rejected by that employer. For whatever reason God has a different plan. I'll keep praying for a job for him.
ReplyDeleteI, too, have a great deal of respect for John McCain, though I've not seen that movie. I have respect for ALL who serve our country in the military, but to endure many years of captivity at the hands of an evil captor gives me an even greater appreciation for his amazing character.
On that note, there is a young man (age 19, I think) who is from right here in Idaho. His name is Bowe Bergdahl, and he is the lone POW in the Afghan war. As a mother of an 18 year old son, this hits close to home, and given that he's a local boy, our news tries to keep his story before us regularly.
Well, this comment, as always, has gotten rather lengthy.
Much love,
Patti
Hi Nellie,
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about that disappointment, but we will keep petitioning our Faithful LORD on your behalf and believing that He WILL open the right door soon.
Thanks for your endorsement of the movie. I purchased it at Office Depot almost 2 years ago but have been hesitant to watch it.
I pray that you feel better soon and have a great week!
((HUGS))
Nellie, I am still thinking about our chat the other day. I hope you are feeling better about your dental issue. I have a feeling it is going to be fine soon. Sorry the ABs are making you sick, they do the same to me.
ReplyDeleteI know things will work out for Jimmy soon. 16 weeks is a long time. So happy Scott got the job he wanted.
I wish I could write more but I have to run and get dressed as my brother is coming over and I have been very lazy this morning so far.
Love you...take good care of yourself!
AB XOXO
I have to admit that movie sounds like a really good one - but I don't think I could get through it. Those type of graphic things..especially cruelty and/or torture just make me literally ill. I know my husband would like it, though. Was it a DVD you picked up at the store?
ReplyDeleteHope that your tummy is feeling better today. You certainly have had your plate full - and it is times like these that satan does his best attacking. So glad you can recogonize it for what it is. Be easy on yourself - and keep smiling!
Praying for you this week! Hugs, Jennifer
BTW - stop by for Friday with Friends this week. We are going to do a "summer recap" of all the highlights from the past couple months!
