OUR LIL HOME TOUR ADVENTURE

HIDDY HO SWEET FRIENDS,

HOW HAS YOUR WED. BEEN??

OUR'S WAS A BIT BUSY AND THAT
IS WHY I AM POSTING SO LATE!!

HAD TO DO MY HAIR, GO TO THE
CHIROPRACTOR, AND GROCERY STORE
AND DO SOME CLEANING AND THEN HAD
OUR COUPLE COME FOR COUNSELING.

IT HAS BEEN A GOOD DAY THO!!

A FEW WEEKS AGO AFTER WE WENT TO
THE CHIROPRACTOR, WE DECIDED TO DO
A LIL EXPLORING....WE NEEDED TO DO
SOMETHING A LIL  DIFFERENT TO GET
US OUT OF THE HOUSE FOR A BIT.

SO WE DECIDED TO GO TO A NEAR BY
TOWN AND DRIVE AROUND IN AN OLD
AREA AND LOOK AT THE QUAINT HOMES,
AND OF COURSE, I JUST HAPPENED (L0L)
TO TAKE MY TRUSTY CAMERA!!
CAN'T IMAGINE WHY,  CAN YOU???  LOL

SO HERE ARE THE CHARMING HOMES
WE FOUND!!  WISH I COULD POST THE
PICS LARGER,  BUT IT CUTS HALF THE PIC
OFF IF I DO, BUT IF YOU CLICK ON
THE PIC IT MAKES THEM MUCH LARGER
AND MUCH PRETTIER.  ENJOY!!

#1

I LOVE THE COLOR OF THE HOUSE
AND THE FRAMING OVER THE DOOR
AND THE AMERICAN FLAG,
AND THE STEPS GOING UP TO THE HOUSE!!

#2

THIS HOME WAS RIGHT ON THE CORNER
AND I LIKE THAT IT WAS PLACED
SO YOU SAW IT JUST LIKE THIS FROM
THE CORNER.  NEAT OLDER HOME.

#3

THIS IS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET
FROM THE PEACH ONE,  BUT THIS
IS THE SIDE OF THE HOUSE.
LOVE THE FRENCH DOOR AND THE
BALCONY!!

#3

THIS IS THE FRONT OF THE ONE YOU
JUST SAW THE SIDE VIEW OF,
LOVELY HOME I'D SAY!!

#3

HERE IS ANOTHER VIEW THAT GOT
MOST OF THE HOUSE IN,  IT IS
QUITE LONG AS YOU CAN SEE.
THINK THE REST WAS CARPORTS.

#4

I LOVE THE OLD AREAS OF ANY TOWN
BECAUSE OF ALL THE BIG OAK TREES,
SO SHADY,  AND HAS SUCH CHARACTER!!
THIS WAS CATTY CORNERED TO THE
TWO STORY HOUSE ABOVE.

#5

THIS CHARMING AND QUAINT LIL PINK HOUSE
WAS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE
TWO STORY HOUSE!

JUST SAW THIS IN SOMEONES YARD AND
THOUGHT IT WAS SO PRETTY AND LUSH.
LOVE THOSE ELEPHANT EARS,  AND THEY
GROW SO NICELY UNDER ALL THAT SHADE
FROM THE BIG OAK TREE.

#6

I REALLY LIKED THE COLORS OF THIS
HOUSE TOO, AND THOUGHT IT QUITE
CHARMING AS WELL.

#7

THOUGHT THIS WAS A RATHER INTERESTING
LOOKING PLACE,  LIKE THE STEPS,  AND THE
LARGE FRONT WINDOW AND THE FRENCH
DOORS AND BALCONY.  EVEN THE COLOR
SEEMS TO BE FITTING!!

#8

THIS SORT OF REMINDS ME OF A HANSEL
AND GRETEL HOUSE.  LOVE THE LITTLE LATTICE
LOOKING WINDOWS AND THE FRAMING AROUND
THE DOOR,  AND THE INTERESTING SMOKE STACK.
IT HAS A CHARM ALL IT'S OWN.

#9

THIS IS RATHER STATELY, BUT  IT ISN'T MY
 FAVORITE. VERY PRETTY THO!

#10

I THOUGHT THIS WAS A VERY PRETTY
BRICK HOME,  LOOKS NICE NESTLED
IN THE WOODS WITH ALL THE PRETTY
CALADIUMS GROWING UNDER ALL
THESE BIG OAKS.  LOVELY SETTING

#10

HERE'S ANOTHER NICE SHOT STRAIGHT ON.

#11

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, THIS
SORT OF RANCH STYLE BRICK
HOME WAS PRETTIER THAN THE
PICTURE MAKES IT LOOK REALLY.
LOVE ALL THE ARCHED WINDOWS
AND DOORWAYS.
TOO BAD I HAD TO CROP IT SO MUCH
CAUSE IT WAS ACTUALLY PRETTIER BEFORE,
BUT HAD GARBAGE CANS IN THE WAY,
NOT A PRETTY SIGHT!!  LOL

WELL,  HOPE YOU HAVE ENJOYED OUR
LIL HOME TOUR ADVENTURE.  I ACTUALLY
THOUGHT THERE WOULD BE A LOT MORE OF
THESE CHARMING BEAUTIES THAN THERE WERE,
MANY WERE VERY RUN DOWN LOOKING
UNFORTUNATELY.

MY FAV WAS #10, I THINK??
I REALLY LIKED THEM ALL
TO BE HONEST,  I THOUGHT
THEY EACH HAD THEIR OWN
UNIQUE STYLE OF QUAINTNESS!!

TELL ME WHICH HOME WAS YOUR FAVORITE???

YOU HAVE A GREAT THURSDAY!!

BLESSINGS AND HUGS,
NELLIE

  1. I LOVE old houses. They have so much character. And think of the years worth of memories they hold within them. Oh, and I LOVE the creaking floors of older homes.

My favorite is the white with black shutters. However, I would take out that whole row of hedges and make the porch run the whole length of the front.

By the way, thank you so much for your prayers for a job for us so that we can move. I'm beginning to stress out a bit, as the weather is already changing. Nights have been going down to the upper 40's...pretty cold for me!! Today's high is supposed to be 100, but by Sunday it will be 68 for a high, and while 68 is a great temperature, it's too early to be that low. I just put my winter pajamas away in June, and I'm not ready to get them out again, so we're praying we can move before winter sets in.

By the way, Fridays I do Friendship Friday on my blog, and I'm talking about you and Becky this week. I feel so blessed to reconnect with you both, and I want to share that lovely story with others and allow them to meet the two of y'all as well.

    Blessings,
    Patti

  3. Sweet Nellie, Love these photos-makes me want to jump on a plane and come visit. I love looking at older homes, especially stately homes. I think I like the tradiitional homes best-the colonials and not necessarily the spanish or ranch ones.
Hope you have a wonderful Friday dear one and a great weekend.
    Lots of love,
    Noreen

  5. We enjoy doing the same. At night is fun too.
If the curtains are open and lights on you can sometimes see in. Love the one that is for sale.
It was lovely that you stopped in for tea.
    I appreciated your kind words.
    Blessings, Pam

  6. I love this, Nellie. Sorry I am so late in getting by. I love the #3 shots and also #10 as well. They are all fun to see though. I love doing the drive by pictures. I haven't done it in quite awhile. I think I will soon.

It was so fun to talk to you today. Thanks for calling me. I think the whole issue with your gum will resolve soon. It sounds pretty non-threatening at this point.

The dinner and car show was fun but way too cold out there for most of us. So we came home pretty early and now I am about to watch some Gilmore Girls episodes. Jim got the new DVD player working and it is pretty nice. The old on must have been on the way out for longer than we realized!

Happy Sunday tomorrow. Still haven't heard a word on the Glen Beck, Washington DC rally. Gotta love the media...true journalism is a thing of the past.

    Hugs, B
