SO HOW WAS YOUR WEEKEND??
FUN?? STRESSFUL?? RELAXING??
PRODUCTIVE?? RELATIONAL??
A BIT BORING?? OR MAYBE
JUST GOOD!! LOL
OUR'S WAS UNEVENTFUL FOR THE
MOST PART, BUT GOOD!!
FRIDAY NIGHT WE WATCHED AN OLD
MOVIE THAT I HEARD ABOUT FROM
BONNIE OVER AT ONE DESIGNING WOMAN,
CALLED "HEAVEN CAN WAIT"
WE HAD MAMA MIA FROM NETFLIX BUT
IT CAME IN BROKEN, SO WE COULD DOWN
LOAD THE OTHER ONE FROM NETFLIX.
BONNIE HAD BEEN TO A PLACE CALLED
FILOLI GARDENS AND MANSION IN CA.,
AND SHE SAID THEY HAD MADE SEVERAL
MOVIES IN THAT MANSION AND
"HEAVEN CAN WAIT" WAS ONE OF THEM.
IT WAS PRETTY GOOD!! AND IT MADE
IT FUN TO SEE SOME OF WHAT SHE
HAD SEEN WHILE AT THE GARDENS.
WE DIDN'T GO OUT AT ALL ON SAT.
CAUSE IT RAINED AND WAS DISMAL
ALL DAY, SO WE JUST HUNG OUT
AND DID VARIOUS THINGS, OF WHICH
I CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER AT THE
MOMENT. LOL
THE LAWN WAS VERY HAPPY ABOUT
ALL THAT RAIN I HAVE TO SAY!!
SUNDAY OF COURSE, WAS SUNDAY
SCHOOL AND CHURCH AND I WASN'T
FEELING REAL GREAT CAUSE I HAD
A SINUS THING GOING ON......
(ALLERGIES I SUSPECT) SINCE HUBBY
WAS SNEEZING HIS HEAD OFF AND
STARTED TO FEEL LIKE HE WAS
COMING DOWN WITH SOMETHING
TOO!
SO WE JUST PICKED UP SOME SUBS AND
CAME HOME AND HAD LUNCH, TALKED
SOME, AND TOOK A NAP AND WATCHED
SOME PASTORS IN THE EVENING.
RESTFUL AND RELAXING!!
CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH THAT!! LOL
WE ARE BOTH FEELING MUCH BETTER
TODAY. WAS AT THE CHIROPRACTOR
AGAIN THIS MORNING AND WE RAN TO
WALMART AND HAVEN'T BEEN HOME
TOO LONG, THINK WE MADE IT
HOME JUST IN TIME CAUSE LOOKS
LIKE WE HAVE A NASTY LOOKING
STORM COMING.
DON'T WE LIVE AN EXCITING LIFE??
I HAVE TO SAY IT MAY NOT BE EXCITING
ALL THE TIME, BUT IT IS
A VERY GOOD LIFE!! LOL
AND WOULDN'T EVER TRADE IT FOR
SOMEONE ELSE'S LIFE!!
NOW .........HERE IS SOMETHING JUST FOR FUN!!
FOUND THIS IN A MAGAZINE.......
MY FAVES ARE THE WHITE AND
GREEN CABINETS. I WOULD
PROBABLY HAVE TO PICK THE
GREEN, BUT IT WOULD ONLY
MATCH IN MY BEDROOM!!
AND JUST WONDERED IF YOU COULD

Oh, the white and green ones are my favorites too. Of course, pink, green, and white are my favorite colors, so it's natural those cabinets would draw me in.
ReplyDeleteYou know I'm a huge addict of old movies. Heaven Can Wait was done in the 70's (I think) with Warren Beatty in the starring role. But it was also done in the 40's, I think, but I haven't seen it, so I don't remember who the star was.
I watched a wonderful Bette Davis movie over the weekend, one of my faves. I'll be doing it on Wednesday for my Wednesday Matinee.
You know, nice, quiet lives are good. WE all need to learn how to be happy in those relatively mundane days that make up the bulk of our lives. I mean, most of life isn't lived on a vacation or doing anything really exciting. Most of our days are lived in the relative quiet (some might say "boring") of routine family life. We need to be happy in those "simple" times.

We had a nothing special weekend. A few errands, read a book, did some house stuff. As for the cabinets...I love the red one, don't have a clue where I would use it in my house!

ReplyDeleteI'm not actively looking right now...part-time is a-ok at present...kind of getting used to less money, less stress! lol I keep my eyes open but the opportunity needs to right. I'm praying for God to show me what direction to take in my job situation. I am thankful to have a job in this day!

I've had a quiet day with my two teen grandsons. The lightning knocked out their internet access yesterday so they were able to get their school work done over here today. I fixed them some "glorified leftovers" which they devoured. Doesn't take much to make them happy! Very good news about the job for Scott and the interview for Jim tomorrow! God is so good. I like the white cabinet. I sure appreicated your comments on my blog! The almond milk whipped cream isn't the same texture as the real stuff but if you want it bad enough, it works! For the rest of the family I whip regular whipping cream and add stevia and vanilla.

I love white furniture! There are so many different shades and it looks so fresh and clean to me. I didn't do much this weekend. Just worked a little on the dollhouse and enjoyed the 105 degree weather. Congrats to Jim and Scott!
