Thankful Thursday, October 5, 2017, more scenes of Falls past #2

Hope today was a more hopeful day
for you.......it was for me.  Just gonna
get on with it..............

I am thankful

that we got to had the fun of watching

our 2nd furry grandaughter, Lola for

the weekend. She is such a cuddly

lil ball of fluff..........

for burgers from Sonic and a

chocolate Milk shake. Their burgers

remind me of my Dad's burgers, and

milk shakes as he and my grand-

parents owned a diner for 40 years.

for all the wonderful memories that

Sonic burger and milk shake stirred

up from my past as a child growing

up summers in the restaurant. Had

lots of fun times there visiting and

 helping my Dad and Grandmother

every summer, making burger patties, 

and homemade french fries, wrapping

 Dill pickles, and take out orders, 

washing and drying glasses and dishes, 

carrying food out to customers, and 

a lil bit of waitressing, and best of all

 eating whatever I wanted ............lol

Which many times was a good old

 fashioned Hamburger and a choc.

Milk shake...........lol

My Dad used to call me Whimpy

 (from Popeye cartoons) because
 I loved hamburgers so much and
 still do....lol

Those were some fun times that I

haven't thought about in a long time.

for some great veggie soup from

my sweet and thoughtful neighbors.

  We always love her soup....delish!

and her guy is always so sweet to

deliver it to us................

that hubbies back is back to 
normal for the most part.

for a lot of things that we got done 
outside, last Saturday trying to get
our yard back to normal after 
Hurricane Irma's visit.

for christian TV and all the
good and edifying shows there
are to watch, and that are such
a blessing to us and others.

for another one of our students
who taught on Sunday and did
a great job.  Very gifted fellow.
It was a great class.

for a good Mexican dinner of
Chicken Fajita's on Wed. night.

for a long phone conversation with
 a long time friend. I love that it  is
 always like we just talked yester-
day......we always pick up where
 we left off. Now that is a great
friend.!!

for Lactaid milk......so nice not
to have to take a lactaid tablet
everytime I drink milk or cook
with it.........just makes life
easier, and it tastes great too!

for all the policemen and women,
first responders and just everyday
people helping and protecting one 
another during this horrible ordeal 
in Las Vegas.....It shows the love 
of the American people and that
the American spirit is still alive
 and well.  Also thankful for all
the Dr., Nurses and hospital
staffers that are working around
the clock to care for all these
wounded people, I am sure they
must be exhausted as well.

 It is heartbreaking that any of this
 had to happen, but it is encouraging
to see all the good, that has risen
out of the evil........


Praying that all of the wounded heal
quickly and completely, and also for
the hospital staffers to have strength,
clear minds, and hope, and that they
will be able to get some rest soon.

And that is all folks................
